Relax and enjoy our bright, modern apartment in the tranquil seaside village of El Cotillo which is the perfect base for the more discerning traveller looking to get away from the tourist masses and wanting a taste of real Fuerteventuran life. Just a stone's throw away from the beautiful white sugar-sanded lagoon beaches, reputed to be some of the best in Europe, the village is a haven for the beach-lover and a mecca for the water sports enthusiast and our lovely apartment is equidistant from the sandy coves in the north and the surf beach in the south so you have the best of both worlds. The clear turquoise waters of the many lagoon beaches are protected from the Atlantic by a volcanic reef formation which keeps the water calm and makes them ideal for swimming and snorkeling or just paddling in the rock pools which are left teeming with little fish when the tide goes out.. Except for the main holidays times, the more remote beaches up towards the lighthouse are 'naturist friendly' and generally very peaceful so you can usually find yourself a quiet spot to relax and do your own thing. Just right for a 'chilled out' holiday & perfecting that all-over tan...

Our sunny first floor apartment comprises of an attractive lounge with dining area, separate fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms (1 twin bed and 1 double) bathroom (with shower, vanity basin, WC & bidet) and a furnished sun terrace... It is located close to the centre of the village and a short walk from the quaint old harbour, some excellent restaurants and the stunning lagoon beaches. There is a supermarket and a coffee shop/patisserie nearby. There is also a phone & internet shop and public tennis court within easy reach and there is off street parking.

The sheltered south facing patio is bathed in bright sunshine form early morning to late afternoon which makes it ideal for alfresco dining and keeps the apartment warm & cosy during the cooler winter months. In contrast, the bedrooms face north and benefit from the cooling sea breezes blowing over from the lagoon beaches ensuring good ventilation and a comfortable night's sleep during the hottest weather. The patio has been planted with indigenous plants, which can be illuminated at night, and has attractive furniture & a large umbrella making it perfect for breakfast, a long lunch or an evening tipple.

Area Information
El Cotillo is on the north west coast of the island just 40 mins drive from the airport. Fuerteventura is the most laid back of the Canary islands and is just 100km from the coast of Morocco and basks in 3000 plus hours of sunshine each year. Largely undeveloped it has a year round warm temperature which rarely drops below 20C even in winter making it an ideal destination whatever time of year you visit. Fuerteventura is all about peace and tranquility and its charm lies in its rugged volcanic landscape, it's tiny white washed villages and it's Caribbean-like beaches. Car hire is recommended but not essential - there is a good bus service to the main resort of Corralejo which is about half an hours' drive away,
