Description from owner

This delightful cabin has a new kitchen and recently updated bathrooms, new carpet, and many other recent updates and the VIEWS ARE AMAZING...from every direction. The setting is very private and quiet.

Our historic cabin sits on a two acre site that borders Rocky Mountain National Park. The interior of the 1650 sq. ft. cabin has knotty pine walls, and loads of charm. There are outstanding mountain views from the large deck.

The newly remodeled kitchen has granite counters and new cabinets. It has a gas range, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher, and is very well equipped with pots and pans, serving dishes, and cooking utensils. The large patio has a gas grill, a table and chairs for outside dining, and additional seating around a fire pit, with superb views. There is plenty of room to roam around the yard, play horseshoes, or just sit and admire the view.

There is a large living room with fireplace and comfortable seating, and a smaller family room with a sofa/recliner. Both rooms have flat screen TVs with cable TV and a DVD player. There's a CD player with a docking station, and board games, too. Of course there's WIFI, with a reliable connection.

The cabin is convenient to everything, yet it is very secluded. There are many unusual moss rock outcroppings on the property, along with abundant wildflowers in the summer, and all kinds of wildlife to watch year-round.

About the area

Only a mile from the western edge of Estes Park, there is convenient access to both the town and the park. You can also walk out the back of the property into the national park--it's an easy 45 minute walk to the Moraine Park Discovery Center. The cabin is in a mountain neighborhood of homes mixed with vacation cabins, on the shoulder of Eagle Cliff mountain. All the homes on our road have dramatic views of Longs Peak, the tallest mountain in our area.

“Wonderful Thanksgiving gathering”

Reviewed 28 Nov 2016

This home was everything we hoped for and more than we anticipated. The interior and exterior were inviting and every detail was thought about to make our stay wonderful, right down to a Turkey platter and festive deco for the table. The only concern was the presence of pet hair or dander......we should have inquired due to the allergies in the family. Medication did the trick and all was well.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

The cabin was perfect... cozy but spacious, warm, inviting, and the location was ideal. Was delightedly surprised with the kitchen for I didn't need a thing I had brought with me. Even bread ties were available, in the neatest junk drawer ever! Thoroughly enjoyed the outside as much as the inside. We had deer come by every day. Even a bob-cat came to visit once. We highly recommend both the cabin and Nina. Our host thought of everything and communication was a breeze. Thank you Nina. Hope to get to come back in the future.
