“Beautiful Spot”

Reviewed 22 Jun 2015

We loved this very homey cozy cabin. It was perfect for our needs. Our only regret was that we had so much planned during our visit to WA, (wedding, visiting relitives, the driving to mountains etc) that we didn't have enough time to just relax at this peaceful spot. Next time we would plan more relax time. My husband did get some fishing in and we did sit out for coffee and once in the evening to rest. We would recommend this place to al who go to this area.

Owner's reply: Thank you again for choosing to stay at our guest cabin and we a pleased that you had a great visit.

Thank you so much for a fabulously relaxing weekend. We would love to come back & will tell other Vancouverites it is only a 3 hour drive! Everything is so thoughtfully put together - right down to the fresh flowers! Thank you! Rich & Elli

What a gorgeous place!
We've had a fabulous couple of nights. So lovely to come back to such a cozy cabin after a day in the snow. All the little touches you've done make it totally perfect.
Thanks for having us.

Dear Joseph and Mark,
What a comfy, quiet place you have here. So peaceful watching the ducks fly low across the glassy lake. To sit outside in the late afternoon - what a treat.
Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hey guys,
Ken and Melinda here. Thank you so much for letting us use your peaceful "hole in the wall", we enjoyed our honeymoon here. It was a nice reset and break from the real world. Haha!

The host seemed to think of everything we would need for the stay. It was a beautiful and clean place that I would highly recommend.

Joseph was easy to schedule and communicate with. The place is very unique and peaceful. I will keep it on my list of places to revisit!

The Cabins at Lake Alice are pretty wonderful. My wife and I stayed for our anniverary weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. The cabin was cozy and beautifully designed. The bed was super comfortable. All-in-all, a really nice old bunkhouse tastefully updated. But the real reason to go is Lake Alice itself. It's a perfectly serene little lake, surrounded by mountains and trees and some houses. People were fishing or swimming or cruising around on their motorized docks (my wife and I don't live on a lake, but we definitely want to work "own a motordock" into our life plans). It just felt like it was the whole community's shared backyard pool, in the best possible way. Joseph and Mark did a great job answering our questions and making us feel at home. Perfect hosts. All in all it was great to get away to such a unique place and be able to get up late each morning and drink coffee on the dock of a lake. And it's amazing how isolated the area feels when you think about how close it is to Seattle. It's definitely worth the trip and we hope to come back soon.

What David
Pretty much everything. The "anniversary blend" coffee was very thoughtful. The bed was so comfortable. Thank you!
What is there to complain about? Lack of Wifi? That's not really why you go to a cabin on a lake anyway. I'm going to tell all of my friends about this place, no doubt about it. Just a perfect experience.

What a wonderful retreat! I may be a little biased, because I got engaged on my stay here, but it is truly one of the best experiences I've had! The cabin is perfectly decorated and generously equipped with everything you need for a cosy, romantic stay on lake Alice! Communication was excellent and friendly, and I plan on going back many times!

Response from Joseph:
Congrats Kathrine! It's is a very romantic place. I'm so happy for you. Please return anytime. Joseph and Mark.

My only regret was not meeting Joseph and Mark. The Bunkhouse is charming, stylish (Ralph Lauren meets Martha Stewart meets camp counselor), and comfortable. The place sits IN the woods and on a lake. Hard to beat. There was a paddle boat available to get around and the place was well stocked with everything you'd need. Communication was awesome and overall just wanted to spend a month there. And someday soon I will.

 What Cecil loved about your listing:
Great location. Great trees. Great Lake. Great hosts. Thanks Guys.

We loved our stay at Lake Alice. Our cabin exceeded our expectations. It is nestled in the trees and beautifully appointed with an amazing view of the lake and mountains. It was a wonderful escape in a serene setting, and Joseph was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed morning coffee on our own private dock, and spent our days paddling around the lake. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Great experience this past weekend at the Cabins. Very relaxing setting next to the water and close to amenities in town. The weather couldn't have been better and the cabin was cozy. I would come back in a heart beat.

Our stay at the Cabin on Lake Alice was delightful. It is a very comfortable space and tastefully decorated. My husband and I travelled 500+ miles to attend a wedding nearby and found this cabin. We enjoyed 3 nights there and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty and relaxed setting. The location is great, just 30 minutes to the city, and is very serene. You really do have your own place and own pier at this beautiful lake. (We wish we would have brought our fishing poles). Most important, the host was super friendly and communicative. This place is special.
