Description of the Fallbrook vacation b&b rental
The Space
Queen bed, walk-in closet, small living room and beautiful limestone bathroom with all the basics waiting for your arrival. Completely private with a full kitchen off the living room. Our vintage 1952 Chambers stove is an interesting addition to the kitchen, as it was state of the art then, and many collectors feel it hasn't been improved upon since. Come see why! Full size refrigerator stocked with breakfast items, bottled water, snacks and produce from our farm. Flat screen TV. Coffee maker with coffee, toaster, juicer, microwave waiting for your enjoyment. Hot tub with jets for your private use just steps from your door. Efficient mini-split heating and air conditioning system. Wifi.

Guest Access
Great parking, just drive right up to your door. Walk the farm during day light hours. We ask that you just stay on the roads. Wifi here at last! Also T-mobile and ATT customers get great cell phone reception because there's a tower nearby. The Oaks Restaurant is a couple miles away and is a rural destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also have a tiny produce stand/market and frequent market events. For something a little pricier and definately on the romantic side: down the road a bit further is Temecula Creek Inn's Cork Fire Kitchen. We've gathered a few menus from cool local restaurants and the local winery down the road a piece, they're in the room for your perusal. Most of the year there's a you-pick strawberry farm right down the road as well. You'll see small signs on Old 395 as you drive in from either direction. Absolutely awesome strawberries, pick them yourself, or buy them already harvested.
Interaction with Guests
We travel a lot too, but when we're on the farm, we love to enjoy our guests' company if they're so inclined. Cup of coffee in the morning? Glass of wine in the evening? We'll follow our guests lead and never intrude. Just ask if you have questions about what to see or where to go, there's so much to do in San Diego! We always respect our guests' need for privacy.

Area Information
The neighborhood:

Little known, even to San Diegans, Rainbow, California is adjacent to Fallbrook and is right off the I-15 freeway, yet our farm seems like it's miles away from the city. Only a few minutes off the I-15, we're freeway close. 40 minutes or so to Oceanside's beautiful beaches and Carlsbad's flower fields and Legoland, and an exit south of Temecula's wine country tours, right in between San Diego and Los Angeles renowned attractions. Twenty-five minutes or so from Cal State San Marcos University, thirty-five minutes or so from San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido and a little over an hour to Seaworld and world famous Balboa Park. The local farmers' market is on Saturday and is 15 minutes away in Old Town Temecula...a destination in itself. We're one exit south of Temecula. Be sure to check out Temecula Olive Oil Company's tasting bar if you find yourself in Old Town. Temecula has a number of vineyards eager to showcase their wines, wine country is one exit north of us (10-15 minutes) and if you book early enough, hot air ballooning is a local wine country favorite.

Getting Around
No public transportation, you need a car for sure! Mountain bikes wouldn't be a bad idea! Closed toe shoes are a good choice if you intend to hike around the property. Flip flops or high heels would be sketchy.

House Rules
Guests are encouraged to feel comfortable with smoking. Because of fire hazards, please smoke out doors in designated areas only. Maximum occupancy is 2 people in this unit. There is only one queen bed, and the coach has a hydrolic tilt-back feature and center console that doesn't allow for sleeping on it comfortably.
No pets, we have enough of our own here! Please drive carefully once on-farm, we have a llama that roams freely, and he has no respect for rules of the road. :)
If you'd like to interact with the chickens or goats, let us introduce you and show you how to keep barn doors secure. Bring granola bars, says Carl the Herd Leader. :)
Our cats are farm crew members and keep the pest population down. Please don't allow any indoors. They'll tell you they're allowed in, that's so not true. Please don't believe them.
Please do not arrive or invite unregistered guests to our farm to visit or stay. Our liability policy extends to registered guests only.
We're farmers and keep farmers' hours. Please plan to arrive no later than 8:00 p.m. when checking in or let us know ahead of time so that I can arrange to have my college-aged night-owl son check you in without a problem. Just let us know! :) After check-in, we encourage our guests to come and go as they please. There is no problem at all with coming in late after check-in as your unit is totally separate from everyone else's here.
