Everything was as advertised, I would stay again for sure. The unit has original cabinets, etc., but was clean and perfectly suitable.
“Can't Beat It!”
My husband and I stayed here during the last weekend in June. We were interested in doing some biking at Ohiopyle and had searched through various cottage and hotel rentals to no avail. What these facilities lacked in amenities and decor, they made up for in ridiculous overpricing. I could hardly believe it when I found an ad for lodging in a world-class resort for LESS money than the tiny motel-like facilities offered everywhere around that area. I actually thought it might be a hoax at first...It was not. This townhome was lovely, spacious and conveniently located within walking distance to Nemacolin's best amenities (although shuttle service is also available.) The place itself was far larger than a hotel suite and offered a separate master bedroom and bath, kitchenette, living/dining room combination and scenic deck. The owners were also gracious enough to allow us to stay as late as we wanted on our day of departure. It would be silly to waste money staying anywhere else while visiting the Laurel Highlands, Laurel Caverns, Fallingwater, Ohiopyle, Uniontown OR planning a family, friend or couple trip involving golfing, skiing, snowmobiling, spa days or fun in general!
The condo is in good condition inside. The deck has been neglected. We enjoy the outside but the deck left something to be desired. Being a lower unit, the humidifier had to run most of the time, but did a good job. All and all, considering the location, it is a lovely area to spend the summer.
Owner's reply: When I spoke with Mr. Mochel, I found out he was concerned because the deck needed repainting. Actually, the entire exterior of my units needed repainting. This was planned but postponed until the new Pella windows were installed early in the summer. All the buildings in Laurel Pond are now being repainted. The deck is taken care of--and all windows are tight, open & close easily, and the screens fit.--Marilyn Lockwood
“A Perfect Fit”
My 3 sisters and I stayed here for 6 days during which time we did some genealogy research in the area. After a couple hours of driving each day , this was the perfect place to come back to and unwind. So much more cozy than a hotel. Very clean, quiet area and well appointed. An absolute value. We'll be back!
This is an ideal vacation spot for our family. We love the resort and the amenities and the fact that we could walk to all the activities without fighting crowds. We live an hour from Disney and Universal and have passes to both, but have gotten tired of the crowds. Our condo was clean and nicely decorated. It was a perfect vacation for us.
We enjoyed the stay in this condo. It is walking distance from the ski lodge (Sundial Lodge) and the main hotel (Pj's, Autumn, and shopping). There is plenty of room for parking. It is very, very quiet. During our stay, it snowed every night and was really beautiful. Someone else cleared the steps, sidewalks and roads. The condo is well furnished and organized. The view from the den and dining area is of the woods and creek. Everything worked without any problems.
“A Peaceful Fall Weekend”
The condo is deep in a wooded area directly behind Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.. It is very clean and spacious and modern. The only downside was my lack of cell phone coverage but I noticed other condo occupants having no trouble. If you are looking for a quiet getaway and love the country, this is definitely the place for you! The rental fee is also below that of similar condos in the area. There are several nice nearby restaurants on Route 40.
Owner's reply: Cell phone coverage in this rural area is still spotty for some companies. Calls that can't be made inside the condo can often be completed on the deck or out in the parking lot.
“Wonderful in all aspects”
The condo was amazing, with such a beautiful view and quiet surroundings. Nemacolin was fantastic, looking forward to my next trip there.
Our family stayed at the property for the weekend of our son's wedding. It provided a lovely setting, quaint and with everything we needed. The view off the deck is serene. The shuttle service allowed us to get to where we needed to be and the nearby grounds provided a beautiful backdrop for photos of our son and his groomsmen. We would recommend this property to anyone and look forward to returning in the future.
The one bedroom condo with sleeper sofa was just right for a girls weekend. Cozy, the resorts shuttle service was excellent, everything we might need was provided. We will definitely be back in the spring/summer!
