“A great retreat!”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2015

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 month old for a quick weekend getaway, and had such a peaceful time! Unfortunately it was too cold & windy to take advantage of the boats onsite, but the lakefront access & fire pit were great features. And we still enjoyed the fall weather walking around the nearby parks, orchards, roadside stands & farms. Jan was incredibly welcoming and we felt right at home during our stay. Thanks again!

“Lovely lake”

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and loved it! It's right on the water. We canoed down to Maxwell Bay park through crystal clear water watching huge fish below us!, then hiked miles through forests & old orchards surrounding the cottages. We even saw bald eagles overhead! The well water was different, but better than the city water I'm used to, and we forgot our bug repellent (it's nature), but shopping is a short drive away, and watching the sunsets & quiet sounds of waves lapping the beach made the evenings heavenly. It's in the 'fruit belt', so the local markets had excellent pies, peaches, berries & treats. Next year we're coming for a whole week! (and bringing our fishing poles) :)

Owner's reply: So glad you enjoyed your stay! You were great guests and we would love to have you back. See you next year.

“Wonderful, peaceful weekend”

We spent July 4th weekend at this wonderful , relaxing cottage on the edge of Lake Ontario. While it was windy and cold this year for the 4th, sitting on the back deck gave us a view of the lake and perfect picture taking scenes. Inside was all the comforts of home and TV and Wifi . We didn't find anything negative in our stay. It seemed like the perfect place to catch up on reading or writing.
