Description from owner

Sea Lion Surf is a fully furnished Three Bedroom, 1 bath, 1200 square foot beach view rental just 100 feet from the beach, in Florence Oregon! This is the quintessential beach house. It started it's life as a top of the line single wide circa 1965. Sometime in the 80's someone built a structure over the whole place, which doubled it's square footage, and made it extremely quiet. This gave it a spacious living room, 2 large bedrooms, 1 small bedroom and a gorgeous glass sun porch. In the late 90's it received all new double paned vinyl windows, and in 2004 it was the recipient of all new carpet, paint and kitchen appliances.

This home has been comfortably decorated as a tropical paradise. With light and airy rattan & wicker, overstuffed cushions & down throw pillows you can truly unwind and relax. The living room and kitchen adjoin, so no one will miss what's going on.

The master bedroom, has a tropical paradise down comforter, and a wonderful sitting area that includes wicker chaise lounge, where you can sit and enjoy the sunny afternoon view. The small bedroom, has a full size bed with jungle motif, and the second bedroom with futon, has an abundance of sun and a great view, it is decorated in a sea shell motif.

The best part is the glassed in sun porch which is as big as the living room, but is it's own separate room. It seems most of our guests spend their time there. Watching the beach, and sunset, and enjoying the all day sun

Beds: 1 Queen Bed, 2 Double Beds

Very casual and very clean. Just right for a small family or close friends. Great beach access, beach decor and cozy sun room. A bit lacking in bathroom ambiance but handy washer and dryer. I would rent it again.

“First Trip to Oregon!”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2015

This was our families first trip to Oregon! We had such a fabulous time staying at Sea Lion Surf! We had the most spectacular views of the sunset from the sun room! The short pathway to the beach was so convenient. We traveled with 3 kids- ages 11, 8 and 2. There was plenty of room for all 5 of us! Oh- and we highly recommend spraying down the windows when you arrive (as recommended from the owners) So you get the best view ever! Be sure to take your shoes off before coming in or you may have some surprise pokies from the brush outside poke you when you take your shoes off later! The kids had a fantastic time boogie boarding at the stables down the road. C&M stables- the staff there are very friendly and so are the horses! Our family would highly recommend this spot.we are already planning our next trip!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in spite of pouring rain. Location is amazing. House and furnishings are worn but comfy.

“Cozy Value”

Reviewed 3 Dec 2014

If you`re looking for a great value, this is the place. The beach is across the street and the house is warm and dry and comfy. The downside is very little privacy due to glass on the entire north side. Could use some better window treatments to provide privacy at night. The other downside is the bathroom. I nice facelift is in order as this 40 year old mobile home bathroom has never been remodeled. Starting to smell a little moldy. Nice to have laundry but it makes the bathroom pretty cramped. The vacation rental people treated us great and we enjoyed the process very much WiFi was nice too and we felt very connected to the world while being relaxed at the beach Florence is amazing. From the beach, Rhododendron Drive takes you all the way back into Old Town. Forget the directions to take 101 and enjoy the old road Next time we`ll probably go with a different property F & B

“Jewel of a Location!”

Reviewed 26 Feb 2013

We especially enjoyed the proximity - just a few steps away - to the wide sandy beach. The house was the perfect size for our group - 4 adults and one child plus a lazy dog. We had decided in advance to cook all our meals there and found the kitchen a little lacking in amenities. There were some nice platters etc., but not the right size pans for our needs. We enjoyed our two nights there - again primarily because of the proximity to such a great beach and a friendly eclectic neighborhood. When it was time to leave and we wanted to clean up the sand we brought in, the vacuum didn't pick up anything. Needs a new one! Appliances are not new - but they're all there including washer and dryer. We felt very very welcome when we walked in and discovered a lovely card and welcome gift - very thoughtful! And the rental agent was VERY sweet and accommodating and treated us very fairly. Considering the price and the location it's a jewel!

We LOVED this very comfortable beach property. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and fresh smell on arrival. There was a bottle of wine awaiting us that was so appreciated. The home is quite spacious and the beds are very comfy, even the futon! Great beach access and easy drive to the nearest Fred Meyers for groceries. We highly recommend Sea Lion Surf for anyone looking for vacation lodging in the Florence area.

“Great location and comfortable lodging”

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sea Lion Surf. The house is not fancy, but it is very well equipped and the beds and linens are very comfy. We appreciated that the property manager was easy to work with and that she made an extra effort to make us feel welcome (thanks for the wine, sand dollar and note!). The location couldn't be better - just steps away from the ocean! We will definitely come back and stay if we find ourselves in the Florence area again!

“Great stay at Sea Lion Surf!”

Our family had a great 2 night stay at the Sea Lion Surf. We met Leslie as soon as we arrived and she was wonderful! The house was right across from the water and the kids loved playing on the beach. We could sit on the enclosed porch and watch the ocean too. Perfect in the morning while having coffee! We also liked being able to cook our own food and having everything we needed right there. We would recommend this without hesitation! We had a wonderful time!
