About Clermont

Located in scenic Lake County, Florida, Clermont is just a stone’s throw from lakes, preserves, and state parks, as well as a quick drive away from Disney World. Book a stay at your choice of affordable and spacious Clermont condo rentals, and get ready to explore nature in Lake County or theme parks in Orlando.

Climate

Clermont tends to be warm and sunny year-round, with highs in the 90s during the summer and temperatures in the 50s during the winter. Most of Clermont’s annual 50-inch rainfall happens from June to September, but that doesn’t deter travelers from visiting the area throughout the summer months.

Getting to Clermont is easy, and nearby Orlando International Airport offers flights to just about everywhere in the country. Once you arrive at the airport, it is best to rent a car to visit Clermont, which is a short drive away from all attractions. Lake County does offer a bus line through their public transportation services, though, and taxis are also readily available.

Things to Do

Start at Lake Louisa State Park, just south of Clermont, an ideal spot for fishing and kayaking. You can also spot white-tail deer, bald eagles, and nearly a dozen plant communities here.

For some serious exploration, head a bit further north to Ocala National Forest, a gorgeous setting for everything from hiking to canoeing to ATV riding. Here you can spot black bears, woodpeckers, herons, and more. Take the scenic route along the Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway, where you’ll see numerous waterways, forests, and beaches.

The Florida Citrus Tower, built in 1956, is a 226-foot tower offering a 360-degree view of Florida’s beautiful green hills at the top of the glass observation deck. It was built as a tribute to Florida’s famous citrus industry and it is a unique attraction for vacationers to visit.
