About Indian Shores

Indian Shores is a quaint, family-oriented community located on a barrier island near Seminole, Florida. Its small size makes it an ideal vacation spot for families looking for a tropical beach oasis. Indian Shores condo rentals line the white sand beaches and make for a convenient place to stay.

Climate

Like the majority of beach towns in Florida, Indian Shores experiences hot summers and mild winters. Temperatures are at their warmest in July when they skyrocket to over 90 degrees Fahrenheit, while January temperatures fluctuate in the 50s and 60s. The summer months tend to be the rainiest, but storms are typically brief and pass through quickly.

Transit

Fly into Tampa International Airport or St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and rent a car for ultimate convenience. Like most places in Florida, driving is the easiest way to get around the area. For those without a car though, the Suncoast Beach Trolley serves the coastal towns from Clearwater to St. Pete Beach. Trolley fare is only $2 and it is a fun way to hop from beach to beach.

Neighboring Cities

After checking in at one of the top Indian Shores vacation rentals in the area, families can venture out for a day trip to Indian Rocks Beach. Just five minutes north, Indian Rocks Beach offers the same soft, white beaches as St. Petersburg and Clearwater, as well as free parking. Nearby Redington Shores is also a popular spot to spend the day on speedboat adventures, watching dolphins, or enjoying fishing excursions.

Things to Do

Located within the Gulf of Mexico, the clear blue waters and soft sandy beaches are what draw so many visitors to Indian Shores each year. Relax under an umbrella in the sand or swim in the warm waters during a stay here. For a different view of this beach town, rent a boat from Island Marine Rentals and head out to see to race through the waters. Other popular outdoor activities include kayaking on the ocean, biking along the beaches and embarking on a deep-sea fishing adventure.
