“Family fun for Christmas”
A wonderful place to stay for all ages. Plenty of room for everyone. I would recommend anyone to stay here and enjoy. We had 3 adults and 2 teenagers ( who really had a good time).
“Our Favorite Place on the Gulf!!”
We have been coming here for at least the last 6 years and will come as long as Les and Doris will let us!! We absolutely love it! Five O Clock Somewhere meets our every need for a vacation getaway on the Gulf! Our Grands always hate to leave and start asking when are we coming back as soon as we walk out the door! Doris and Les are some of the nicest people you will ever rent from and truly care about their customers! We have so many precious memories that include this wonderful place and many more coming if the Good Lord's Willing as my mom use to say!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us!! May God richly bless you and yours!
“Wonderful experience for the entire family!”
I selected this house because the owners were flexible with the dates (we need to arrive on odd days), and the house was less costly than the rentals directly on the beach. We had some family members meet us there with their children, and we had a wonderful time. Although we did not catch enough crabs to have our own boil, the fishing piers and walking proximity to the beachfront made it a worthwhile experience. I would stay there again!
This property was amazing, we took our family here during June 20th through June 24th,there were 12 of us. We all had a wonderful time, there was plenty of space fir all of us to do our thing. The dolphins come in the bay by our pier every morning while me an sis drank our coffee. Couldn't ask for a more beautiful morning view than that. Blue crab every day being caught in the traps provided. Our kids fished from morning to night during our stay. The view of the bay is perfect for the sunrise And sunset photos. This location is a 8 minute walk to the actual gulf beach. You are far away from all the huddle and bussle of traffic and shopping centers which is something we enjoy. Fort morgan is something to see (make sure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water )weer all loved walking the fort lots of history there. The ferry is right before you get to the entrance of fort morgan you get to take your car to dolphin island. .I could write a book of all the wonderful things this house has to offer, Mr and Mrs. Stiers were up there during our stay they are amazing people. Take my word for it weer will definitely be back, best vacation spot ever.
“Family Beach Vacation”
We absolutely loved staying at 5 O'clock Somewhere. We have stayed here several times in the past and love the updates of the home since our last visit. The kids loved fishing off the piers. We did get to see a few dolphins swim by in the mornings while we drunk coffee on the porches. The dogs loved running around the deck. We will return again soon.
The house and surrounding property is extremely spacious and can fit a large group with ease. Plenty of room on the lot for 10 or so cars. We had a large group with us and still had room to spare. Excellent yard and area underneath the house for grilling/games/campfires etc. The owners are WONDERFUL people and help you out any way they can. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
“Lord this place”
We greatly enjoyed our stay at its 5o clock somewhere and will definatly stay agin in the future. The owners are very easy to work with and easy to contact for any problems or concerns. Being able to spend every evening fishing with the family was great and being away from the hustle and bustle of spring breakers was an added bonus ! Highly recommend staying here
“Enjoyed the location-best of both worlds!!!”
Great location on the bay with 2 private fishing piers and a small beach. We felt as though we had the best of both worlds with great fishing and crabbing at the house with a beautiful white sand beach within walking distance. Out and away from the hustle bustle. Loved being the last house on the road.
My husband and I along with our four children and six grandchildren stayed at "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" in Fort Morgan. That place, without a doubt, has the absolute best sunrises and sunsets. Early morning coffee on the deck was a special treat as we got to watch the sun come up, but the sunset from that same deck provided us with pictures that belong in a magazine. We enjoyed the wrap around deck. The guys and little ones were able to catch crabs from the traps that were provided for us by the owners. Although the fishing was not great during our time there, a seafood market was just a few minutes away and we were able to purchase fresh fish for our fish fry. The neighbor offered us the use of his private beach, so we were able to launch our paddle boards and kayaks from there. The owners were very easy to work with. A golf cart or vehicle is needed to transport your beach items as the beach is a bit farther than I had anticipated, but it only took a few minutes to get there. There were a few minor repairs that were needed but nothing that would prevent us from visiting again. The view of the bay, with the sunrise and sunset are remarkable! If you are looking to get away and relax in a quiet, beautiful atmosphere, this is the place for you. The owners, Doris and Les, were so nice and accommodating, friendly and easy to work with. Our family vacation was a huge success.
“Spacious, gorgeous, well-maintained and -priced”
This is my second time taking a crew to this rental. The first time, we were at full capacity, the second, we each had a room to ourselves. The large communal interior kept the first stay from feeling too cramped for a full week of relaxation. The second trip felt even more luxurious. In between the two trips (about a month and a half apart), numerous improvements were made, and the few complaints we had (a dock light that was out) were promptly address the next day. The pier is the longest in that stretch of the bay, and if you don't have the chops to catch and gut the fish at the provided gutting station yourself, the crab traps take no skill, bring in a nice number of crabs each night, and are super fun and easy to lay out. The kitchen is spacious and well-stocked, with plenty of fridge and counter room. The wrap around porch has a few errant nails-be careful barefoot-but gives a beautiful vista of the area, especially at sun rise or set. It's gated, too so you can keep track of your kids while letting the breeze in. The under-the-house area has room for ample parking a nice (though slightly dirty) grill, and an outdoor shower for getting that sand off. The walk to the beach takes 3 minutes, and leads to a very nice, frequently uncrowded stretch of gorgeous sand. I hope to return frequently in the future, and I suggest you try it out.
