Description of the Fort Walton Beach vacation condo rental
This unit is nicely decorated with all the comforts of include vey comfortable furniture, well equipped kitchen with all the necessities to prepare a simple lunch to a chef's meal. The unit has been setup to meet your desires for being your home away from home.

Enjoy a view of the beach and ocean while enjoying a cup of coffee as the sunrises or an evening drink as the sun sets over the ocean. It is an enjoyable event to take in the wonderful scenery with the sugary white beach sand, water colors of azure to emerald green and sometimes my favorite aqua, water fowl to include sand pipers and sea gulls and if you are lucky enough you might even see a sea turtle, if it is the season for them to lay their eggs. Should you see a small area on the beach marked off with yellow or orange plastic with a warning to keep out, it is most likely a nest for the baby sea turtles eggs.. .

The unit has been setup to meet your desires for being your home away from home. It has a kitchen with all the items needed to prepare a chef's meal or a simple lunch.

Pelican Isle is a medium size complex with a pool that is heated during the off season when needed and has a vey popular Jacuzzi.. It is nice to meet and greet new people in the evening while taking a relaxing dip in the hot tub after a busy day. It has an exercise room for staying in shape with treadmill, bike and stair stepper.

You can take our boardwalk on the east side of the building right on out to the beach or if you are on the west side you can walk right on out to the beach with no steps at all!

Area Information
Okaloosa Island is only a 13 minute drive to Destin with lots of things to do and tons of restaurants, but they also have all the traffic due to the many 23 floor hi rises and the limited space on the beach. Okaloosa Island/Ft Walton Beach, FL on the other hand has a limit of 7 story high buildings thus making our beaches very roomy and comparison.

Ft Walton Beach has a Gulfarium, The Board Walk, Indian Temple Mound Museum, Interactive Science Museum, Original One Room School House and more to enjoy.
The Gulfarium has lots of sea live to see and Dolphin Shows and the kids are wild about this place. There is a Zoo about a 25-30 minute drive away.

The Boardwalk has approximately 4 + restaurants, shops, Howl At The Moon and The Swamp which is one of the largest bars around and features national bands and local artist. You can walk right over to Howl at the Moon another great night life spot. The observation/fishing pier is just a very short walk away as well as Angler's Restaurant with play area and volleyball right on the beach. No need to walk a long way to enjoy
all the different things to do. Just across from The Board Walk is the Bay with a state park area with boat, jet ski and pontoon boat rentals. It is a nice site just to watch all those that do kite boarding, sailing and more in this area.

Destin is close by with the Big Kahuna's Water Park and The Track which has water bumper cars, go carts, small kiddie rides to the not faint at heart, the free fall. A place of entertainment for all.

Shopping starts a little over a mile away in old Ft Walton just across the bridge with all the shops that you can walk in on the Emerald Coast Pkwy (Hey 98) and go back to the block behind it. Also the main Santa Rosa Mall, off of Mary Ester just on down the road. Shopping in Destin has Destin Commons where even the guys can spend hours shopping at Bass Pro Shop or the kids highlights of a mini ride on a train or at Pirate's Cove, play in the soft play area which has interactive play fountains. You can shop, dine out and go to the movies with 14 theaters all at one plaza. There is the Silver Sands Premium Outlet Store with many shops, and eateries.

There is so much for shopping as you drive along the Emerald Coast Parkway. There is the Harbor Boardwalk with restaurants, shops and if you walk onto the back side below you can see the fishing boats and book a trip for most any type of fishing or a water sport activity such as the Sea Blaster, speed boat, Banana boat ride, Dolphin cruises or Dinner cruises that you might desire. The fishing fleets come in after their trips around noon to 1:30 and then again at 4:30 pm. After all this is the "The World's Luckiest Fishing Village" with its year round fishing and October fishing rodeos.

Within 3 miles of the resort, there are probably 25-30 restaurants of all types and great seafood abounds all around. No need to driver 10 or 15 miles for Great Seafood! It is all around you.

Free Beach Service (beach umbrella & 2 beach chairs) are setup for you on the beach each day of your rental from March 1st to the last day, October 31st. This is a big savings to your pocket book. Be sure when you are comparing properties that you look at this amenity. It is an expensive one and it is offered FREE with this unit!.

Whether you want to be lazy and have a quiet enjoyable visit perhaps lying on the beach while reading or on the go with things to do and events to see Pelican Isle on Okaloosa Island/Ft Walton Beach offers it all.
