We loved our stay at this beautiful home. Tom and Carol were so accommodating and we wanted for nothing! Tom took my brother and I trout fishing on the Tuskegee River and we had a blast! Caught a lot of fish with this awesome guide! The view of the mountains, Little Tennessee River, and the birds was breathtaking! Cannot wait to go back next year!
Owner's reply: We loved having you here. Please do come back.
“A Little Slice of Mountain Heaven”
We had an awesome stay at this beautiful home! Tom and Carol were so accommodating and we wanted to nothing. The view of the mountains and the Little Tennessee River below were breathtaking. Tom took my brother and I trout fishing in the Tuskegee River and we caught so many fish! We had a blast. I would recommend this vacation rental to anyone who loves gorgeous views, great accommodations and the my gracious hosts ever!! Thanks again for your awesome hospitality!! We will be back next year!!
Owner's reply: Thank you Tracy. We really enjoyed you, your brother and Mom during your stay. Will look forward rob your next time in the mountains. Thank you again, Tom and Carol
As you can see by looking at the photos of Tom & Carol's home , they have a gorgeous place with very comfortable furnishings and terrific art . The kitchen is fully equipped and the bed , quite comfortable . We really appreciated that they had so many different pillows available , so we could choose what we were most comfortable with . The location is good , about 15 minutes from Franklin. The river and mountain view is lovely . We enjoyed looking out the windows and being in the trees . We highly recommend this property .
Owner's reply: Thanks for the nice review Carol. You were a lovely guest and look forward to your return. Tom and Carol
My wife and I lead very busy schedules. although there is a ton of things to do away from the house, we mainly just stayed there and rested. The house is absolutely beautiful. The house was cozy enough to stay close but large enough for us to go in separate rooms to study and read. It was nice to meet Tom and Carol too. We definitely want to return in the future.
“Great place to relax!”
This was our first time staying at this property and we were very comfortable. Great location and plenty of in-home amenities. We lacked for nothing! Just like being at home. Our hosts greeted us shortly after we arrived and were always available for anything we needed. Ate all our meals on the back deck overlooking the Little Tennessee River, watching all the families go tubing by. As an added bonus, there was a bird house on the back deck with 3 or 4 baby birds inside. Their parents were constantly flying back and forth bringing the little ones food all day, every day. They didn't seem to mind us sitting there at all. On our last day the young birds finally came out of the nest and tested their wings. Thank you Tom & Carol for letting us stay in your lovely home.
Owner's reply: Thank you John. You were a delight to have and hope to see you again. Tom and Carol
“The Great Escape”
Wonderful, updated, well furnished and comfortable home. Very quiet area, big porch up high, with view of mountains and a river. Lots of beautiful birds. Five minutes to Franklin. Gracious, helpful hostess. Two bedrooms upstairs and master bedroom on first floor, two bathrooms......one up and one down. This house is spacious, and the master bed was extremely comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms were large with good beds. Decorated nicely with a comfy feeling. A ton of wonderful books, magazines, and games. We wanted for nothing! No disappointments with this rental.........we didn't want to leave.
Owner's reply: Thank you Mary. Sorry I was out of town and couldn't meet you. Next time!
The house was fantastic. Clean, great view, and very peaceful. We met the owners Tom and Carol, they were great people. I would recommend this vacation home to anyone who is wishing to stay close to Franklin or in Franklin. Even if you have to drive a few miles to get here, it's worth it. We went gem mining for several days. Many gem mines within 2-25 minutes away from the house. It was just the best location for us. In the morning sitting on the deck overlooking the mountains and the river having a cup of tea was so relaxing. This was one of my favorite parts of the day. I can't say enough abut this vacation home and its owners. If I could go back tomorrow I would! Everything was GREAT!
This home was just what we were looking for. It was a quiet place for our family to relax, yet was still close to the hiking trails and gem mines we wanted to visit. It was very family friendly, with plenty of activities to do inside. However, I think we spent most of our time outdoors on the porch enjoying the view and watching the wildlife! We wished we could have stayed longer.
“A snug house for a memorable vacation”
A perfect retreat in the mountains next to the Little Tennessee River and close to Franklin, peaceful meadows, Nantahala National Forest, creeks and meanders, water falls, and hiking trails. Tom and Carol are impeccable hosts, always available, helpful and considerate. Their home is fully equipped and wonderfully decorated; a place that will long live in your memory.
This was a nice rental property. There were plenty of beds. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The shower had plenty of hot water. The house was clean when we arrived. There was a washer and dryer if needed.
Owner's reply: 😊......and you were a 5-star guest. Please plan some. Time for your Dad to tell us his D-Day experience. Tom.
