“Can you say Fireflies or maybe Lightning Bugs?”
This cabin is located in a serene setting with a very small brook a stones throw away from the porch (we had a snapping turtle try to block our road one morning). The very friendly owners, Jim and Pam, have taken great pains to include the old cabin in the restoration and their love for the place shows in the detail work. All of the appliances are new as is the furniture and the beds (for some reason the mattresses do tend to make slight noises when you get up or down). Out one of the windows in the living room, which faces the old barn, we saw rabbits each evening while waiting on the plentiful fireflies to make a show. There are no immediate neighbors and we enjoyed taking a stroll down the dirt road. The cabin is just a short distance from the main paved road running through the valley and it's about 10 minutes to downtown Franklin. There were plentiful paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, etc. so we didn't need to purchase anything except food.
Owner's reply: Great guests! We really enjoyed hosting your stay and showing you some of the wild turkeys in the Iotla Valley. Ya'll are welcome back any time. Pam and Jim
“Prettier than the photos!!”
Wonderful owners who were helpful about things to see in the area. It felt like having a knowledgable concierge just down the road. House is immaculate-- photos do not do it justice. Lovely decor and a well-executed renovation saved the 1880's elements of the original log cabin. Plenty of privacy and nice landscaping on this large property. They really thought of everything. Being able to make a quick Keurig coffee (they included the coffee!) on the way out in the mornings was so easy. All of our group members said they'd like to return to this rental. Thanks go out to Jim and Pam. We all had a great weekend! Happy Trails, Mary
Owner Supplied Testimonials
The Campbell Farm cabin is a wonderful retreat any time of the year. Jim and Pam are amazing to work with and they ensure every need is met. Our son and his family stayed for three weeks and we visited often. The cabin is situated in the beautiful Smokey Mountains with rolling hills and a wonderful stream just off the screened porch. The accommodations are first class. I highly recommend the Old Campbell Farm to everyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing home away from home! (Melanie W.)
