“Good family vacation home”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2016

Nice house and beautiful piece of land. The water is shallow and good for swiming, very warm. The house has a big deck overlooking the water which is the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch and dinners. It would have been nice to have a dryer or a line to hang wet towels, not much sun on the deck because of all the trees so it was a bit difficult to dry wet things. The house is located in a "no wake" zone and the boat traffic is pretty heavy as it is a passage way from one lake to the other. The lake is huge! We ventured out on a kayak to a few places and it is big and beautiful! Very quiet neighborhood overall. We saw a deer and a fox it was quite amazing! We enjoyed our stay very much, it truly felt like home away from home.

“Beautiful family friendly spot”

Nice cottage/house with a great screened in porch and sizable loft for the kids. The views were stunning and we spent the whole week kyaking and floating/swimming in the water.

“Family Vacation”

We had a wonderful time in Freedom, and the camp was comfortable with all the conveniences. We spent a lot of time on the deck over looking the water just relaxing and watching boaters, ducks and loons. Waking in the morning to the loons and the peacefulness of the lake was wonderful. The beach is sandy and perfect for our grandson to play on. Our time there was great and past to quickly.

“Nice Spot!”

There's lots of beach front, but feels private. Loons in the morning and blue berries to pick down the lane. Bring a kayak or canoe to explore the lake. Even though it rained quite a bit while we were there, we had a great time watching the lake change and hanging out in the cottage. There's a good dinner place nearby in Ossipee Center (Mountain View Station) too if you are looking for a close place - don't feel like grilling. Also, close to good hiking - Mt. Whiteface rocks! Hope to return next summer!

“Great large waterfront.”

So much beach space makes this property unusual. The home was comfortable with a large, open porch and a good layout. We were thrilled with the size of the bathroom as so often beach properties have small baths, this one had lots of room and storage! The passing boat traffic was a little busy at times but not bad at all during the week. We had a wonderful time and hope to return again!

“Great Family Vacation”

I rented this house for a week in July and was very pleased. The beach is clean (a bit rocky on kids feet but not bad) and pretty private. The house was comfortable and offered WIFI, DVD Player and cable TV which was convient on those rainy days/nights. Dogs were allowed and there is even a fenced in kennel area in the side yard if needed. The water pressure in the shower is a bit to low but it does the job. The owner was very pleasant and responsive to all my inquiries. I had a great time and I would definately go back!

“Great vacation”

This lake house is lovely ... very well-maintained, perfect location, and has everything you'd need for a nice vacation. It was also sparkling clean. I dealt with the owners (mother and daughter) via email, phone and in person and they were very pleasant - answering all my questions. The house is not "campy" ... no mismatched dishes or beat up furniture. The deck overlooking the lake was great for early morning coffee. And the 2-seater glider at the water's edge was a great way to end the day, watching the sunset. We chose this particular rental because it's pet-friendly, but I'd recommend it for anyone - with or without pets.

Owner's reply: Thank you Val! Glad you enjoyed your week!

“GREAT VACATION HOME”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2012

We rented this vacation home for a week this summer and had a wonderful time. The house was very spacious and had everything you needed. Every time we found ourselves needing something, we found it - it was great. There were beautiful views from the shoreline, and the swimming was nice for young children. Boat traffic went by slow as it is a no-wake zone in front of the property. With our boat we were able to take a short ride and enjoy the sandbars (which were AWESOME and tons of fun) and some tubing at Broad Bay and big Ossipee Lake. The deck was nice and spacious as well and the dog pen was so convenient just a few steps out the front door. I personally loved the huge clothesline for drying all of our wet towels and such. The home is in a quiet residential neighborhood with barely any traffic. Owner was very friendly and great with communication. Would highly recommend we had a wonderful time!!! :)
