You've found it -- your home away from home! A PERFECT vacation home for a family, two families or group, Summit Ski House is a spacious (nearly 2600 sq ft) and luxurious home on a quiet street only 4 blocks to Main St. Loaded with great amenities, including a PRIVATE 6-person hot tub, professionally maintained!
Heated with toasty radiant floor heating (no dry furnace air, no noise), Summit Ski House boasts a high-end chef's kitchen (complete with stainless appliances, Bosch gas stove, granite counters, cherry cabinets and hickory floors), nice mountain views, and two family rooms (with 60" and 40' LCD HD TVs, DVD players, X-box, movies and games). High-speed Internet and WiFi (and computer area in kitchen). Pet friendly (with prior approval), no smoking. We've owned vacation rentals in Summit County for the last 14 yrs and love working with guests to make sure their needs are met! [Please note: we just started listing here on VHR. We have 25+ AWESOME REVIEWS of the house on another listing site. I can't post the link here, but let me know if you'd like to see them!).
Perfect for large or 2+ families: The layout of the house and its size -- nearly 2600 sq ft -- is perfect for a large extended family or several families. Many different possible sleeping "configurations" to accommodate different types of families and groups.
Spacious and comfortable bedrooms: The Master Retreat is huge and private (on its own level) -- it has a king log canopy bed with designer linens, sitting area, 36' LCD TV, DVD player, gas fireplace with granite surround, and a beautiful bathroom suite with jet tub and dual sinks. There is even space for a twin mattress (which we have) if a small child wants to see with his or her parents. The Guest Room has a king bed, sitting area and 32' LCD TV and the Bunk Room can sleep 6 people in a full-over-full bunk bed and a twin-over-twin bunkbed. Adults can sit up in the lower bunks -- they are quite comfortable. In addition, 2 can sleep on the new queen sofa sleeper in the main family room and 2 on the converta-sofa in the media/second family room.
Enjoy and spread out in 2 FAMILY ROOMS, so the adults and kids can be watching separate movies or TV. The main family room has seating for 8 and has a HUGE 60' LCD TV, HD cable, DVD, movies, and sliding doors to the large deck with BBQ. The 'media room' or 2nd (smaller) family room is on the same level as the guest bedroom and bunkroom. It has a 40' LCD TV, DVD player, X-Box, games, 2 giant Love Sac beanbag chairs and treadmill for fitness buffs. It has a convertible sofa/futon that can sleep 2 and reading chair.
AMAZING KITCHEN is a cook's dream; seat 8 at the dining table and another 3 at the breakfast bar for meals. Loads of counterspace, stainless, high-end appliances, Fridge with chilled & filtered water and ice in door. Bosch gas stove. Loads of small appliances: toasters, hot water dispenser for hot cocoa or tea, 2 coffee makers, blender, waffle maker, etc. Lots of silverware, dishes, glassware, cookware, bakeware, as well as staples and condiments. The dining area, connected to the kitchen, overlooks the family room (which is down 7 stairs). The dining table seats 8 (and there's a booster seat for toddlers). The breakfast bar seats another 3. Off the kitchen is a 3/4 bath and brand new, huge high efficiency washer and dryer with laundry detergent provided. There's also even a boot-warmer/dryer!
Loads of technology here for work or play! High speed cable modem Internet with WiFi, printer, and 2 iPhone dock/chargers. We don't have a land-line telephone, however, so bring your cell phone.
IDEAL LOCATION -- just a few blocks to paved bike trail and hiking trails and 3 blocks to Main St. Plus, treadmill in media/family room for the rare rainy day that you can't ski, bike or run.
Save a bundle! The owner helps guests find lift ticket and other discounts and there's a supermarket discount card attached to the keys!

We had a great vacation at this house in Frisco. As soon as we walked in we felt at home. We only had five people but the house could easily hold more. Lots of room to spread out. It has a very open floor plan and lots of windows which we loved. The kitchen is huge and very well stocked with everything we could possibly have needed. The balcony is enclosed so that we were able to sit outside and leave the sliding glass door open and not worry about our dog escaping. My sons loved the huge TV in the living room. Great for relaxing after a day of hiking and biking. The location is perfect. Close to the restaurants on Main Street and bike trails. We also loved the hiking trail to Rainbow Lake. We were there for a week and really hated to leave. Frisco is so nice in the summer. The owner, Shana was great to work with. Thank you for the use of your beautiful home. We loved it!
Owner's reply: Thanks so much for your review! I'm so glad you and your family enjoyed the house and your vacation and we look forward to having you back any time! We love the Summer up in Frisco too -- SO much to do! We've been listing on another vacation rental site for awhile (where we have 25+ great reviews), but just started listing on VHR so your review is the first. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with other travelers and we hope to have you back again!
Owner Supplied Testimonials
We stayed at the Summit Ski House in Frisco in January 2015 and had a great time and would absolutely do it again. The Frisco house and layout easily accommodated our extended family of 9 adults and provided plenty of room for all of us to enjoy and relax. Kitchen is fully equipped and the house includes many other helpful amenities including HD, WiFi, washer/dryer, hot tub and various board games. The location is perfect... we enjoyed various restaurants in Frisco and skied great conditions at Breck, Copper and Vail. Owner was very helpful in advance of the trip in providing information on equipment rental options, local spas and restaurants and even called during our stay to make sure we were satisfied. We loved the place and all agreed we'd stay at the house again next year... no question.

Living here in Colorado for opast 12 years, we've stayed at a bunch of very nice condo's, homes, and resorts all across Colorado. The Summit Ski House is at the very top of our list of favorites! Throughout the entire renting process the owner Shana was a pleasure to work with. She had a last-minute cancellation and we were very late in planning a family ski trip this Holiday season. Thanks to Shana's quick/helpful responses, (and some great snow early in the week) this story had a happy ending. We had a fantastic Ski Trip to Summit County and will hopefully return to Summit Ski House again soon.
Our whole family felt at home in this wonderful property. We only stayed 6 nights, but would have been happy staying another week or two! It's clean, modern, and well equipped. The location is perfect! The heated floors, exceptional kitchen, hot-tub and two fireplaces make this an fantastic place to rent for a week or more.
My wife (who is very picky) said it was the best place I've ever booked, and I agree with her. She loved the well-equipped kitchen, fireplace in the MBR, and heated floors. I loved the big garage, hot tub, and big screen TV's -- especially when Oregon trounced Florida State, and during the Ohio State v Alabama nail-biter. Go Ducks! Every one in our family (our 3 kids are all in their 20's) really liked the Hot Tub; we used it every day! The family room and kitchen are huge; which was handy when a few friends (other Colorado locals) happened to stop by for a drink and snacks after a day of skiing.
It's especially helpful renting from an owner that knows the Frisco area and cares about her renters. Shana connected us with a great place to work-out in mornings before we went skiing at Peak-One 24/7 Fitness, less than a mile from her her property in Frisco.
There are many great resturants within walking distance. We loved Buckhorn Cafe for breakfast and enjoyed the Boat Yard for dinner. We skied Vail most days to avoid the crowds (the most popular local season pass has "blackout days" that keep these folks out of Vail during peak Holiday days.) We prefer Frisco to be close to Vail but actually stay in a small ski town rather than at the isolated Vail resort.
We highly recommend not only the Summit Ski House, but also Peak One 24/7 Fitness for any other renters that want a modern clean place to stay and also want to keep up with their strength/fitness training while on vacation.

Dealing with owners is the only way to go! The owner was extremely helpful and couldn't have been nicer! When we arrived, we were surprised to discover their home was even nicer than we expected. You can tell it's very well taken care of and very clean. With so much to do in the area, we are already planning our next trip. Thank you so much!!!

My wife and I could not have had a better experience than with the Summitt Ski House. It was a perfect location for hiking, biking, walking, seeing friends. We were within blocks of downtown so made it a point to try out some of the nice restaurants (and desserts!). The place had so much space we were able to have our daughters come for several days, as well as some close friends. The home was large enough to provide good space for everyone. It felt like a new home and was wonderfully clean and well kept. We would come back here in an instant. Shana was so very helpful in all aspects of our trip. Thank you, thank you, thank you for one of our best vacation get-a-ways! We will certainly be back!

More than we expected!!! Our visit was during the summer and the location was great! Walk to Main St., the marina, trails. Shana was easy to work with and the amentities were great. They allow pets and my daughters puppy had a blast on the enclosed deck! Would definitely recommend to anyone who asks!

This property has everything you need to make your vacation enjoyable. Easy access to Main Street and very close to copper mountain. Shana does everything to make your stay comfortable. This was one of the few times I was able to sleep, the King size bed was comfortable. I can not say enough nice things about this property. You will not be disappointed. We had plenty of room for our family of 9 and never felt like we were on top of each other. I had some trouble with the lockbox, but my teenager had no trouble" go figure"
Thanks again Shana for making this a wonderful trip for my family, your hospitality is second to none:-)

This property was in excellent condition, well kept and very clean. Good central location in Frisco. Very spacious with good views of the mountains. Plenty big for six adults, one small child and a dog.
