“Relaxed by the Sea!!”
My husband and I stayed at Andrea's for a week the first of April - the place is awesome!!! The picture window is exactly as it appears! The house is not front row but the direction it faces and where it is located it certainly seems to be front row. We had a wonderful time at Andreas and can't wait to come back. The owners are very friendly and we will be back to spend more time at Andreas. Highly recommended vacation spot. We didn't take our fur babies, but it would be a safe place to take them.
Owner's reply: We appreciate this kind review, especially pointing out the great view and proximity to the beach.
“Amazing Sunrise View”
We stayed in this rental for the month of February. The temps. were very cool on a few days but we were snug and very comfortable in this property. The beach can't get much closer and we enjoyed walks along the water as while viewing the breathtaking sunrises. The neighborhood is quiet and an away from it all destination. The owners are quick to respond to any issues that arise. We would recommend this rental to anyone.
Owner's reply: We appreciate Catherine's good review of our property. Just prior to their rental, we had insulated under the house to maintain even temperature throughout the house in colder weather. DM
“The Dream Vacation”
Where to start? My family has not had a "family" vacation in about 6 years, and this was definitely a Dream Vacation for all of us. The house was beyond our expectations. Location, comfort, cleanliness, and accessibility to the beach was absolutely perfect. My mornings were filled with the calm sounds of the ocean, and it was so peaceful and relaxing. My family will definitely be choosing Andrea's Retreat on our next Galveston stay. Darwin, I can't thank you enough for making this a vacation to remember!
“Perfect place for families”
Andreas retreat was a very nice place. The location to the beach was perfect especially with the children. It had everything we needed to make our week enjoyable. We would definitely go back.and recommend this location to friends and family
Owner's reply: We appreciate this fine review and the Orr's taking the time to write it. We seem to get a lot of Minnesotans at Andrea's Retreat. I've lived in Minneapolis and know how cold it gets there.
My husband and another couple and myself rented Andrea's retreat for a week. It was amazing! The location couldn't have been better. The pictures were exactly how the house looks. It was clean, modern and very welcoming. This is the first time we have stayed in a house opposed to a hotel, and it was a much better experience. We were able to cook out, sit on the deck and watch the waves or sit at the table inside and play games. The AC works wonderful! It was very relaxing. It was one of my favorite vacations ever. The owner Darwin Miller is great to work with. It was a much easier process than I had imagined. My family is planning on returning soon. Thanks for sharing your home and for an amazing vacation.
Owner's reply: Thank you! for renting Andrea's Retreat and for taking the time to write this great review. See you next year? (We're already booking for 2014.)
What a lovely place to stay. The house has a good view of the beach and it's just a few steps to the water. We stayed for a week and there was a time or two on the weekdays I went for a long walk and didn't pass a single person. The kitchen was very well equipped and we only went into town to eat a couple of times. Very peaceful.
“The Perfect Spot”
Andrea's Retreat was the perfect spot to meet up for a relaxing and comfortable stay on Galveston's beautiful island. The property was thoughtfully equipped with everything one would need, and then some. The house was so close to the sunrises, you thought you could touch them, and the sounds and smells of the gulf rocked us into a sound and peaceful sleep each night. The owner could not have been more responsive and helpful both during the initial rent up and during our stay. Having never been to the island before, we did not know what to expect...Andrea's exceeded all of our expectations and is a great space for a smaller group looking for a fabulous beach front place.
Owner's reply: We greatly appreciate this guest's review. This is from two families (brother/sister) who live on opposite sides of the U.S. and chose Galveston as a middle ground for a get-together. We had the opportunity to meet these folks and greatly enjoyed visiting with them.
