About the area

Quiet and cozy Palm Beach subdivision. Located between Pirates subdivision and Pirates West subdivision. Palm Beach rentals are very popular because of the extremely close proximity to the private beach (on a dead end) and 24/7 police surveillance in the neighborhood. Palm Beach is a very family oriented subdivision. Great for family gatherings, BBQ's, lounging on the beach without worries of leaving your chairs and umbrellas where you set up for the day. Quick access (within feet) back to the home for use of the bathrooms. Bay/Ocean fishing and golf nearby. Several small stores within less than 1/4 mile.

“The Ideal Family Beach House!!”

Reviewed 19 Mar 2017

This beach house was just delightful and the entire family fell in love with every aspect of it from the moment we arrived! The wrap-around deck is large with ample seating; the décor and accoutrements create an ambiance that is relaxing, yet beach-festive, and everything is clean and neat. The expansive layout, including two entries, enables people to aggregate in different areas of the house, rather than a sense of being herded between just a living room and a bedroom. No one can feel crowded in this house, as it exudes spaciousness. We stayed 4 nights, and despite the cold, rainy weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our "beach vacation" simply due to how nice it was to stay at this house! Loved the numerous ceiling fans, brightly-colored walls, dual-entry points, the fire pit under the house surrounded by chairs, including wooden rocking-chair & settee, the mattresses & linens were very comfortable, thus had restful sleep. The kitchen was spacious, with new appliances, and contained clean, quality cookware with which to make meals. My family agrees that we've found the "ideal beach house" and plan to return for future visits to Galveston. In terms of quality, cleanliness, proximity to the water, quiet beach area, lovely neighborhood, and expansive house layout that encompasses four bedrooms, large kitchen, spacious living room, wrap-deck with wonderful view, downstairs area with grill, fire pit, etc. this is an exceptional place to enjoy the Galveston Beach. Also, the owner is helpful and responsive; however, everything in the house intuitively-placed and accessible, so unlikely that Owner will be needed. Overall, it was such a pleasure to wake up in this house, hear the ocean, and just have coffee in the bright, spacious kitchen or wander onto the porch to gaze at the water. It was relaxing and wonderful, this is such a lovely place and I hope to return in future.

Owner's reply: Come again soon! Glad you enjoyed your vacation at Beach2Fun.

“Great Time”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2016

This home had everything we could hope for. The kitchen is well stocked. Extra blankets and linens were provided. Internet was very fast and reliable. The home is very close to the beach. The only thing not up to par would be the sofa bed. Although it is about the same as most sofa beds I have encountered. :). The owner is a delight to work with.

“Great family vacation”

Reviewed 23 Aug 2016

We stayed 5 nights with 2 adults and 3 children and the setup was perfect. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach, which was pretty quiet and clean. The kids caught tons of sea creatures on the beach and had a blast. It's also about 2 miles from the state park which was a great place to catch blue crabs, and a short drive to the city and Moody Gardens. The house is stocked with cooking supplies and a charcoal grill, and there is a Kroger in the city and convenience store right down the street. The house was clean and had relaxing beach decor. There is enough room for the kids to play in the "den" and the adults to be in the main living area - nice during our mid-day break from the sun. The neighborhood is quiet and really the perfect spot for a family vacation with young children.

“Great place, steps to the beach”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2016

This house is about 3 houses down from the beach, a quick walk to the waves. As all Galveston beaches, the surf was small and the sand was soft, great for kids. Great, clean house with a very well stocked kitchen. We didn't need to bring anything except some extra paper towels. Two living areas so great for groups with adults and kids.

Owner's reply: Come Back again soon! Charles and Mary Calvin

“Perfect Family Experience”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2016

This home is perfect for larger families or groups looking for that more secluded beach stay. I believe it is around 8 miles west of the city and easy to find. There were 9 in my party and we all were immediately hit with joy as we walked in to explore our individual spaces. There were 5 adults, two teen boys, and two twelve yr old boys. My in-laws got the Master suite. My wife and I got our own cozy queen room. My sister-in-law chose the room/space with two twin beds that has a common sitting space. All boys got their own bunk in their room. So we were very comfortable. The home could easily sleep more. My favorite spot was actually the rocking couch below the home on the patio area. If you catch the right breeze in the evenings this is the spot to be relaxing. We were maybe 150 yards from beach access. It includes a nice little trail that is highlighted by a small fence line inside dunes covered by greenery. Very pretty and great for family photos. Tons of spots to stop and take photos. Along the beach each morning are many fresh shells and many have live crabs to entertain. At night, walks with flashlights are awesome (crabs everywhere). The beaches are ample and not overpopulated like the seawall in town. The home had plenty of cookware as well as a grill so this is a great alternative for the family on a budget. Sure we hit a few restaurants, but we cooked at the home just as much. We did see a few attractions in town and they were neat but the home on the beach is were we felt the most comfortable for our 5 day stay. The property is well maintained and has several empty lots next to it for those frizbee or football games with young ones. The in-laws loved the jetted tub in the Master bath. Nine of us could comfortably fit in the living room space for scary movie night as well. This room has fabulous beach decor and beautiful fireplace for that winter stay. I would love to be back there now! Enjoy folks, you just can't beat the staying in this home if you get the chance.

“Perfect little getaway”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2014

This is the most interesting, unique, comfortable, relaxing place I could have ever found. The beach just steps away and the greatest view from porch and also from the inside. I will definitely go back to this sweet A Frame Vista again. Absolutely loved this place.

Owner's reply: Hi Frances. You are welcome anytime. We can't wait! Thanks again. Carolyn

“"A" Little Piece Of Heaven”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2014

I brought my daughter to the beach for her birthday and a much needed get away for us both. I didn't want the normal hotel/condo experience but it was kind of a spur of the moment trip and didn't think I'd be able to find anything. I emailed and called Sandra and she got back with me right away.....and the A Frame Vista was available. This quirky little place couldn't have been more perfect (except not having the wi-fi password) and we were able to relax and forget all our problems for a weekend. It's very comfy/cozy, has everything you'll need (and more), quiet and really does have the best view ever! Next time we stay we only need to rent the deck....we spent all our time out daughter even did early morning yoga on the upper deck. We had absolutely no issues with people being loud and partying all night and were able to get some much needed rest. We were unable to meet up with Sandra but dealing with her was like talking with someone you've known for a long time----not a uncaring robot on the other end of the phone. Next time we planabeach trip, I will definitely check Sandra's properties I'm confident I'll get what I want. Thank you Sandra, for making an enjoyable and memorable weekend for us! :) Amy Pellerin

Owner's reply: Hi Amy. Yr welcome anytime. Cannot wait to hear from you again. Thanks for taking great care of the property. Xo. Sandra

We were comfortable with her and the A-Frame...I missed watching the news with no TV but that will not keep me from coming back...Thanks Sandra you are a great host...Love this place with all the tropical plants and trees..Ron

Owner's reply: Ron it was a such a pleasure meeting you both. Love to have you back anytime. Not only are you pleasant but you always take great care and extra effort to leave any rental like you find it! You have earned a free night and we will have cable in July. Thank you and know you are always welcome. Truly appreciate having you both. Sandra :)

“Birthday Week”

Reviewed 20 May 2013

This place was wonderful! After getting over the shock of no TV (no-I had no trouble making a week without it-will absolutely do it again) and worrying with the internet, my husband and I got down to the business of relaxing, beach-combing,eating and enjoying a couple of good novels. I cannot say enough good things about our accommodations-charming, quaint and quite comfortable. Thank you Sandra. You made our trip and we WILL be back. To everyone reading this you can't go wrong here with A Frame Vista or with Ms. Allen. Also the neighbors are great! Thank you Mr. Calvin!! (Really the only negative is the VCR could be replaced with a DVD player. That would be awesome!) So Sandra we will see you again soon!

Owner's reply: I am looking forward to seeing you Phyllis. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay!

“Cute little place close to the beach”

Reviewed 22 Mar 2013

Great little place very close to a quiet family beach. The house has all the little touches needed to complete your stay. From the garden hoses near the entrance for rinsing the sand off your feet after walking the beach to the complete kitchen with a corkscrew, the house has everything you would need for a trip to the beach. We had no trouble finding the house, getting seafood at the local market to cook and finding a place to eat close by the beach. The beach was very nice and super clean. We loved being able to walk back and forth to the house in such a short period of time. Very relaxing and we would definitely come back again.

Owner's reply: Hi Yolanda. Come back any time. Thank you for taking great care of the property during your stay. Happy Easter! Sandra
