Condo was front row with beach front view. Walked across a wooden bridge to the beach. This part ofbeach was cleanerthan beaches in Galveston (and no smell!). Condo was nice. Rooms were great for my teens and friends. Deck was nice and large for that morning coffee. Wrostbands will get you in to both pools. Which were very nice. Lazy river pool qas geared for small children. Beach Club infinity pool was good size. Lots of chairs. This condo is about 30 minutes into Galveston. We paid toll and went to Lake Jackson instead ofGalveston for groceries/eating out. My family goes to Galveston every year. We plan to stay here again. Only con was a fee light bulbs were out and there wasnt enough flat sheets for one bed and there werent many serving bowls. Ha not enough reasons to never go again! Plenty of dishes/utensils/pots/pans/glasses. Excellent kitchen and masterbath/shower for 2. Recommend this condo.

Unpleasantly Surprised-No Beach for Beach Vacation
July 30, 2014
We arrived to the house with a horrific smell from the ocean. We looked out and there was a 10 ft. wide and at least 3 ft. deep black seaweed coverage on the entire beach. The further we investigated, we realized the sand was not usable due to the dying seaweed and sand fleas that would come up when you stepped on it. How do you explain no beach on a beach vacation to a 2 yr. old??!!! I called the owner the next day to inquire if maybe the city or the HOA hired someone to clear it daily/semi-weekly. She informed me that there was not and they had just been the week before and it was also un-usable. This would have been good information to have BEFORE we drove 10 hours for a beach vacation with no beach. I understand that the owners could not control mother nature, BUT if this is a "seaweed" season, that should definitely be put in the description for this time of year before vacationers waste their $. That was just the start. She then informed me that the washer/dryer wasn't working and then we waited 3 days of our 5 day vacation, for a repair man to fix it. After he finally came, it still was not working and we had to go and buy more towels for clean ones. On top of that, the front burner on the stove didn't work as well as the drain in the downstairs bathroom broken. If she had just been there the week before, these things should have been fixed before we arrived. Overall, the house was spacious and semi-clean. Those are the best things I can say about it. I feel like the owner should have been more apologetic about our experience & more fore warning about the conditions. She also should have offered some kind of discount for the things she did have control over. We will not be going back to this house, or Galveston for that matter, any time soon.
Best rental in years!!

My family and I rented this house recently and can't say enough great things about it. The location was the best we have ever had on Galveston beach. Some homes we have stayed at in the past advertise beachfront but are not typically that. This house was the closest to the ocean we have ever been. The interior is nicely done with plenty of space to get around for family fun without being cooped up in your bedrooms as other beach houses we rented have been. Not to mention the giant front deck overlooking the ocean.

Fifteen of us stayed in this home the first week of August. The house is very large and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen and family room are on the 3rd floor so we definitely got our exercise hauling food, coolers, etc. up the stairs. We had a few problems with the air conditioning and refrigerator (we had to use ice chests for a day) but the realty company addressed them quickly. There were also a few problems with the house itself -- some ceiling fans didn't work, door handles were broken, one of the toilets didn't work, there was no doorbell and the front door to the house (which is located on the 1st floor) kept locking by itself so we got locked out a couple of times because you can't hear anything if you are on the 3rd floor. The beach was very convenient and we could walk across the road to and from the beach every day. The beach views were awesome and the second and third floor decks were really nice to enjoy the evening breeze. There is also a nice covered patio on first floor with hose to wash off from the beach and a patio table and grill. There is also a pool and fishing pier in this community which was also available for our use during our stay. Despite the minor issues with the house, we all really enjoyed ourselves and it was great that the house was large enough to accommodate all of us. The realty company was very easy to work with and they were very responsive to our needs.

5 O'Clock Somewhere is a great family destination
June 22, 2013
For the past two years, we have held a semi-formal (i.e., only beach attire allowed) family reunion in June on Galveston Island with our three grown children and their children. Luckily for us, the beachfront house called "5 O'Clock Somewhere" has been available for rent both years and it was large enough to accommodate a group of our size comfortably. The weather was excellent for beach activities and everyone has a new set of wonderful vacation memories that will last us a life time.

I hosted a youth group girls retreat here for a weekend and the girls loved the house, it made for a great get away. It had plenty of room for all the girls and chaperones, and more importantly lots of bathrooms! It was a beautiful house, and the proximity to the water made for an afternoon at the beach very easy to manage. The house was very clean and well maintained. We had a great experience!
