Reviews for this vacation home rental in Garden City, South Carolina
July 11, 2016
I rented this house online and it was great! My daughter and her husband and their 1 year old daughter, my sister and her husband stayed there. The house was clean and right across from the ocean. We sat out on the deck on July 4th and watched the fire works! Plenty of room and I liked that it was quiet and not too close to Myrtle Beach. I was pleasantly suprised on how well it was kept up. You never know when you see the pictures online.

this is our second year. We bring our young grandchildren and our dog. Don't have to worry that the kids will break something expensive. Very clean. Could use a little updating but works out great for our family. Will probably rent again in the future.

The house was great as usual. This was our second year. Would rent again. Close to the beach! Large enough for an entire family! Everyone had a great time! Kathy Felkel

We have just returned from a wonderful family vacation spent at your Mud Monkeys rental unit. We just wanted to let you know how much we sincerely enjoying staying in your home. Our three sons aged 15, 19 and 22 were with us as well as one of their girlfriends and our family dog, Otis (miniature schnauzer). My husband and sons are all very tall people - 6'3' + and your home fit us all so perfectly. It was so spacious and with the screened in porch and gated deck, our dog was able to enjoy the outside safely. We had brought his run with us but the ones you provided in the backyard were an added bonus. We appreciate all the features of the home that made our stay at the beach so relaxing. Again we apologize for not replacing the kitchen light bulb that blew but it blew late Friday night and we left Garden City at 5 am on Saturday morning so did not get the opportunity to replace it. We are hoping to return next year for a longer stay so definitely we will be contacting you. Thanks again for the rental of your home. Nadine (Ontario, Canada)

Thanks we had a great time. The house is in fantastic condition and a hop & skip from the beach. The dogs did great and having the enclosed deck was perfect. Just wanted to let you know Gary fixed disposal & dishwasher while there & we purchased charcoal grill and left there for the rest of your guests. Thanks and hope to be able to return next year! I love the house. It was very nice and close to the beach. It was very roomy and very clean. I love how nice and polite Lisa & Patricia were. They were very helpful and made our stay very pleasant. I would highly recommend this house to everyone. Pam Adcock (Monroe NC)
Perfect beach house to enjoy with your pets. Great location, wonderful deck, very clean and comfortable. Amy(Hartsville, SC)
This is one fantastic beach house!!! It fit our every need. There was plenty of room to accommodate everyone. We had 13 people in all and everyone had their own space. Very clean with all conveniences. We especially enjoyed the spacious deck. The beach access was just across the street and very convenient. I would recommend Mud Monkeys to anyone with a large family or group. Tina H.(Dallas, NC )
We have stayed at Mudd Monkeys on several occasions, both during the Summer and Fall seasons. We absolutely love the house and the location. We have had some of the best times here, Bike Ralley's, Family Times and just some ladies doing some singing and shopping!! I recommend the house to anyone looking for lots of room, comfortable beds and furnishings and a great view and location!! Darlene G.
My sister and I took our kids and had a wonderful time for spring break. The house was perfect for us and the location was great. It is located directly across the street from the beach and only 5 blocks from Garden City Pier. We would highly recommend this house for a large family with teenagers or smaller children.
AWESOME House, Couldn't be happier!
Date of Stay: 03/10/12
Just got back from a wonderful week at this house! It's right next to the beach, which is awesome, probably a 15 second walk and you've got sand in your toes! The beach is very nice, soft sand, not too great for surfing, although there were a few days we paddled out and caught a few waves! The house is very beachy and quaint, and there's an extra half bathroom that wasn't listed here! We had 16 people at the house and every person had a blast! I HIGHTLY recommend using this house, as well as Mud Monkeys! Regarding the town: Garden city is honestly an amazing little city. Inside the beachiest area, it is very small and friendly. There's a few local shops, ice cream parlors, even an arcade. However, drive about a minute out of town, and there's everything you could ever need. There's about 4 grocery stores within a mile of each other, including a pretty upscale walmart, fast food restaurants, put put golf, and Myrtle's strip is only 20 minutes away or so, if that kind of thing interests you (not a fan, personally).
