“Treated Like Family But Wasn't Family”

Reviewed 7 Dec 2016

I can't say enough good things about staying at this place. I rarely write reviews but felt I must even if it's 2 month's later. This family / owner made my family and I feel like family even though we had never met. They were eager help make our vacation the best possible offering tips of places to eat, shop, visit, where to ride our motorcycles and etc. The setting at and around their cottage felt so safe we didn't feel the need to lock the cottage even though we did. In the mornings we would set out on the upper deck and watch the squirrels, cows the donkeys who were friendly and like little treats. We only expected a nice place to stay but we got so much more from this place. Thanks for all that you did to make this vacation a big success.

Owner's reply: Thanks Jerry for the nice review! It was nice meeting your family. So glad you enjoyed your stay at our Getaway, as well as the motorcycle outings in our Ozark Hills!

“Relax”

“Great getaway”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2016

Had a motorcycle vacation with 3 friends and stayed at Marsha's place. Worked out really well. Covered parking for the motorcycles and plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out. The deck was great for grilling and hanging out in the evenings. Great central location for motorcycling as Push Mountain is not far away. Very clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

Owner's reply: Thanks Don...so glad all of you enjoyed yourselves. You guys left the house spotless...Thanks! Hope to see you again! Have a great year!

“Just what we needed”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2016

We are one of three Minnesota couples who rented this vacation home together for a relaxing 3 day weekend between 2 busy, 4-day weeks of round dancing in Eureka Springs. We thoroughly enjoyed the great space for all of us, the deck, the grounds, and the firepit. We relaxed, visited, ate, read, played cards, and appreciated the homey atmosphere provided. It was really more space than 6 of us needed! Marsha stopped in, and we asked about the history of the place. We enjoyed hearing about it. Keep up the good work!

Owner's reply: So Glad all if you enjoyed your 'down time' here in our Ozark Getaway. Hope the dancing went well in Eureka.... Hope to see all of you again in 2017!

“Home Away From Home”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2016

This home is amazing and only got better as we walked room-to-room and discovered various amenities. (There was even a hair dryer in the bathroom!) The owners showed a lot of foresight and planning in the restoration. We rented this home along with two other couples and we had ample space to each claim a corner for privacy or join together for meals and/or games. The deck (with fan!) was wonderful for reading, napping, eating and just sitting. The owner was personable and full of suggestions for eating and activities in the area. Our time here was very relaxing; can't wait for a repeat visit.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the nice review and so glad you enjoyed your stay... We look forward to your return! Have a great year!!!

“Beautiful and Peaceful”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2016

The Getaway was exactly what our family of 8 needed! The kids had fun with all of the "old" videos (VHS) and non electronic games. The house was very clean and well maintained and the view from the upstairs balcony was beautiful. Our only suggestion would be to add Internet!
