“A fantastic view and comfortable home!”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2016

This is our second trip to Hawks View and it didn't disappoint! The owner's additions of a seating area / deck space and the extended wrap around upper deck were pleasant surprises and only enhanced an already great home. The master bedroom is large with plenty of closet space and the loft sleeping area is comfortable and has its own bathroom with a large tub. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked! The open concept dining and living area are the best parts of the cabin since they open to the amazing view of the Great Smoky Mountains. The floor to ceiling windows and this view are reason enough to choose this home for your vacation! We spoke with James on two occasions in the days leading up to our stay and he was extremely responsive and helpful. A pet friendly cabin, we chose this home to bring our dog (a 2 year old German Shepherd) and he had plenty of room to run and space to enjoy his vacation! The cabin is a short (but rural) drive from Pigeon Forge and very near the Arts and Crafts Loop in Gatlinburg.

“Great place!”

It was amazing! We stayed a week in this amazing cabin, we loved that we got to bring our beloved dog Tex. and it was all to its self and had an amazing view , it was very clean, it had everything we needed and more. We are planning to come back to this great cabin this December as well I would and do recommend it as the best place to stay!

“Best vacation ever”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2016

I brought my daughter and my stepdaughter to Hawk's View. The three of us decided that our trip to Gatlinburg was the best vacation we have ever had. Hawk's View Cabin set the stage for it. Well kept, clean, and convenient, the cabin was amazing. The view from the upper deck was amazing (it was great to sit out there in the morning with a cup of coffee and a book). You can't beat the price or how nice the cabin was. We will be back!!

“More Beautiful than the Pictures”

My husband and I had a mini-honeymoon at the cabin for 3 nights, we were so sad when it came time to leave! We were extremely impressed by how clean the cabin was when we walked in, it was cleaner than some hotels we have stayed at yet in no way felt like a hotel. The location was the perfect balance of isolated/quiet yet close enough to get to a grocery store/downtown Gatlinburg for some shopping. It was far enough away from everything that you didn't feel touristy when you were there. We are already planning our next trip back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.

“Frequent Traveller Loved HawksView Cabim”

Reviewed 16 May 2016

This is our 4th trip to Hawks View Cabin and every trip we have been rewarded by cabin improvements made by the owner. This trip we found additions to the deck that now wraps around the cabin and additional area with adirondock chairs. We have stayed in the area one other time in another cabin because Hawks View was already booked, and regretted that decision as nothing compares to this quiet, private cabin site close to the Arts and Crafts Community and Gaitlinburg, without any downtown traffic. Normally we visit the cabin in winter months so we can enjoy cold and hopefully snowy weather but thought we would try the spring and ever so glad we did! The weather was perfect, we enjoyed coffee every morning on deck, grilling and drinks on new deck with adirondock chairs, and late night hot tubs! We seen bears, turkeys w/babies, deer, raccoons, horses, wolf spiders, and butterflies at Cades Cove. Out on the town was easier too with it not being tourist season yet. Loved ziplining and white water rafting all within 30 minutes of cabin. Can't say enough about our great time and how awesome the owner is, easy to reach by phone if ever a question.

“Serene”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2016

My goal was to spend a week looking out the window. My husband likes to find things to do. Both plans fit the week perfectly. Cabin is so comfortable, and it has everything, even a loaf pan. We watched wild life from swing on upper deck. Wild turkey must live nearby, they seem to be regulars. One of the conveniences I especially like is the garage. Nice to push code, watch door go up, drive in and get out where it is not raining. The owner is especially gracious and addressed any concern promptly. He foresees potential glitches - extra bedding, of course, but he takes it a step further by stowing extra batteries and light bulbs. There's probably more, but I was busy looking out the window at the blossoming mountain view. Serene - that's how we felt while we were there - and every time I think of Hawks View.

“Great cabin”

Worth the money and beautiful view. We had an issue with the hot tub and James was responsive. It was a wonderful place to come "home" to at the end of the day. Close to shopping, the park, and restaurants.

“Perfect spot”

We've stayed in this beautiful cabin 2 times and have booked it for 2016. Amazing views - extremely clean - and I so appreciate it. We take Buddy with us when we travel and this is most accommodating - he loves it. the 2 bedroom, 2 bath setup is good - we love the loft and have friends who stay in the other bedroom. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Sitting on the porch looking out over the mountain view is so serene. We love it!!!

“Wonderful!”

The cabin was just what we were looking for with our vacation. Our two dogs loved it, and James made everything so easy!

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We absolutely loved the cabin, it was very comfortable, secluded and well stocked. We had a great time, enjoyed the view. We loved the porches on the back of the cabin, the grill and the hot tub. The place was wonderful, we like not having people right on top of us. Just two suggestions, we could not use the dart game, the darts were broke. We also like to have froze downstairs even with the heater going. You might want to get a better heater for the winter. We will absolutely stay with you again, probably every time we come if your cabin is available. The price was very fair for what we got. Thank you so much for working with us and giving us the price you gave us. I will be in touch when we decide when to come back this summer. Thanks very much.

The place was great just like b4-- will be back for sure, the wife is already planning another trip... hope we will be talking soon..
thanks again!

When we arrived, I was the first one in, and was impressed and instantly comfortable! We had great weather, and had lots of fun! That was it, seemed like everything we needed was there, and what we didn't have, was just a short drive away. It's a great area, and now I want to build or buy a cabin down there too! :)

Have a great weekend!

Annette

"This cabin is just far enough away from the hub bub, but yet close enough to town and attractions. We found the cabin to be clean, well cared for and quite comfortable! It is private, with a spectacular view from the living room and outside decks! I would definitely recommend this location, and plan to visit again!"
