“Very Comfortable!”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2017

This was a great spot for myself and my adult children to spend some time together. Carol's home is very cozy and felt like home. We used the kitchen a lot - very well equipped. My only complaint was that we were short one bed. There were seven of us but only two double beds and two twin beds which is different than the listing says. Thankfully my son didn't mind sleeping on the couch. We really enjoyed our time in this winter wonderland and would like to come back!

Owner's reply: I switched out 2 livingroom couches (sofa beds) with 2 regular couches, but there is a twin air mattress with auto pump behind the loveseat under the front window and there is a twin rollaway bed in basement for more sleeping.

“Great rental while preparing for wedding”

Reviewed 18 Dec 2016

My now wife and I rented this property in September 2016 for a location that us and family could stay while preparing for the wedding. The house had all the amenities that really made it feel like a northern Michigan home. Great decor and the area was quiet and peaceful. We did run into a couple of issues with the upstairs shower not transiting from the tub faucet to the shower head and the hot tubs filter was floating inside the tub when we went in causing white particles to gradually float when the jets were turned on. We mentioned both of these to the owner who was more than understanding.Everything else about the property was spot on and I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful northern Michigan experience.

Owner's reply: The shower upstairs can be turned on by pulling down on the faucet head (plunger)--it's a bit tricky if you don't know what to look for.The white particles in hot tub were pieces of escaped sanitizing tablets,

“great northern MI locations”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2016

My husband and I spent about 6 weeks at this comfortable and convenient Gaylord MI location. We are avid golfers and this area is "Golf Central". We could use the neighborhood's own golf course, Michaywe, or book one of the many courses located within an hour's drive of our place. We ended up playing many fine tracks, including Black Lake, Elk Ridge, Forest Dunes, Harbor Springs CC,Gaylord CC, Treetops, Cedar River,Dunmaglass--you get the picture! We will be back next year to try some more. We also had family and friends join us for long weekends. There was plenty of room and all kinds of sight seeing to do in the immediate area. All in all a comfortable stay. You cant go wrong. The owner is conscientious and hospitable and so is her place.

Owner's reply: As return renters to my property, you are always welcome. Glad you take advantage of the fabulous golf opportunities!

“A lot for the money.”

Reviewed 26 Dec 2015

We spent two nights at this rental. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The home was even decorated for Christmas. Carol is very friendly and helpful. You get an awful lot for the money and I would certainly stay here again. Highly recommended.

Owner's reply: Always nice to see holiday visitors when the northern woods is so gorgeous!

“Early fall getaway”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2015

Quiet home set back off main road. Relaxing venue. Home gave you feeling you were at your own place just away from it all. Carol has a warm home with plenty of games, movies, and other opportunities for you to enjoy your stay. We chose to relax and play golf at Michawaye, Loon golf club and Treetops, all within comfortable distance from home. Certainly would recommend this home to others.

Owner's reply: I have been blessed to have such wonderful renters in my northern home. I have made the home as warm and comfortable as possible--and have been fortunate to have many repeat customers throughout the years.

“Comfy cabin in the woods”

Reviewed 2 Apr 2015

My family of 5, including two little girls and grammy, was very comfortable in Carol's clean and well stocked Michaywe cabin. We had a lastt minute desire for a weekend vacation, and she was sure to make it happen. Our favorite part of the stay was lounging in the outdoor hot tub while the snow was falling around. While it was quite chilly outside, the house stayed comfortable and the gas fireplace was lovely. My husband was glad to watch March Madness on the large cable TV, so we didn't have a chance to use the movie library. We played pool and board games as well as cards. Cooking in the kitchen was easy since there was an abundant supply of cooking utensils and appliances. And the linen supply was also extensive, both in the bedrooms and the bathrooms.

Owner's reply: So glad Jean's family enjoyed their stay! I work hard to provide a clean and comfortable home for vacationers.

“Winter Fun in Gaylord”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2015

The cottage was as represented. It was very well stocked with everything you could want. The décor was great and well maintained. The hot tub was so nice after a day out in the cold enjoying the winter wonderland. I rent every year around New Year's Eve and this is by far our favorite. You won't be disappointed. It is an excellent value and Carol is great to work with, we had a blast. There were 2 couples and our high school daughter with her friends, everyone was very comfortable and there was plenty of room.

Owner's reply: So good that you used the hot tub, which I keep running year-round, in the middle of winter. I enjoyed having your family!

Carol provides a cozy, clean and well organized home for her renters! We enjoyed our stay and will try to book it again for next year.

“Fabulous weekend”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2014

What a wonderful place! Thank you Carol! The hot tub was great! Great location right outside the patio door with great views of the trees, stars and wildlife. We seen deer in the early morning and early evening. 25 feet from the hot tub! Golf was fantastic! Perfect weather! The house was very comfortable with all the amenities. Thank you again Carol and we look forward to many rentals in the future!

Owner's reply: I would welcome such friendly and appreciative renters! Glad you keep coming back!

“Everything You Would Want In A Vacation Home”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2013

Two couples looking for a clean comfortable place to stay & have a visit, but found so much more with this vacation home. Tastefully decorated, clean, cozy home stocked with everything you might want for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed that the area golf courses are all very close, as is the shops , entertainment and restaurants. We also enjoyed watching 4 deer feeding in the back yard just beyond the hot tub. Carol was very pleasant & professional to deal with, and we will be renting this home from her for our golf vacation next year. Thanks, Len

Owner's reply: I look forward to hosting you again. Gaylord will certainly offer you all the golf you can take!
