“Relaxation ocean front”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2016

Had a much needed relaxing vacation here. The views are breathtaking & had our own sandy beach steps away.listened to sounds of the crashing waves for hours!

Owner's reply: So glad you enjoyed your stay at the cottage! Thank you so much for the great review! Bill and Connie

“Location”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2015

Location, location, location..the perfect place if you are looking to get away from it all. Can't beat this quiet beach front cottage with beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding islands. My favorite place was the front deck. It is small, well maintained, well furnished and clean. Cons: There is no television and the up-stairs is a loft. Would I go again...yes.

“Quiet & Remote”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2015

This was the most perfect vacation spot for us and our pups! We picked up groceries and supplies before we arrived as it is a bit of a remote location. We were glad we did, as we didn't want to leave this beautiful spot once we arrived! We enjoyed bird watching, my husband fished from the shore, we spotted a seal beyond the island and were treated to bio-luminescence along the shore on our last night! We read the cottage "log" each night and enjoyed the stories and entries very much. I loved watching the lobster fishermen in the mornings and we even spotted a bald eagle a few times! Five Islands Lobster Co. was worth the drive - otherwise we didn't really want to leave the deck! It was difficult to pack up and come home. We hope to return next year for two weeks! Thank you for hosting us! Katie & Jim

Owner's reply: Thanks Katie and Jim, We're so glad you had such a good time. Your seal paid us a visit the other day warming herself on the beach. We'd love to have you back next year! Bill and Connie

“Family Vacation done right!”

Reviewed 6 Dec 2014

I once had a client tell me that as a parent, you only have your children for 18 summers. 18 summers and then they're gone. My wife and I decided that from now on we'll be using these precious summers to create fantastic memories. This location was truly breathtaking. No fancy room service, no wi-fi, no video games, no hustle and bustle. Simple relaxing time with your family at a cabin that had all the necessary amenities to live in comfort for the stay. The views were spectacular, the time on the beach with our kids and not another person in sight was perfect. We'll be back.

Owner's reply: Hi Jason, Thanks for the wonderful review it was a honor to have you spend one of your summer's here with your family, especially traveling all the way from Indiana. Hopefully you'll be back soon. Bill Bridgham

“Beautiful location in a simple cottage”

Reviewed 1 Sep 2014

This is a great cottage for people who want to enjoy nature and the beach. The location is really gorgeous. The cottage itself is simple and not for people looking for luxury. Additionally, Indian Point may not be the best base for people wanting to be out and about sight seeing all the time because the road is windy out to the cottage. Our 11 year old twins and our standard poodle all loved it and really hope to return next year. Lots of places to explore and dirt roads to bike on.
