Description of the Glen Spey vacation home rental
This is sort of a bed and breakfast (sans breakfast,) so please read the entire description:

Gorgeous, extra spacious home on Loch Ada, Glen Spey...less than two hours from the George Washington Bridge, nestled very far off the beaten path amongst the deer and chipmunks, the wild turkeys and bald eagles...
Where does one begin...this area is so beautiful that the Singer Sewing machine family owned a huge estate here where Isadora Duncan danced along the (then) birch-treed river banks.

This primarily wood and glass home built in the forest at the end of a very long dirt road and driveway, rests on the very edge of the lake where you may not find sweeter air nor the deeper croaking of frogs anywhere. The strictly maintained policy of no motorboats ensures the natural serenity and cleanliness of the natural communities.

The windows feel countless and they perfectly welcome in the beauty of the land, the lake, the sky, the flora and the fauna. This lovingly maintained home has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living rooms, an enormous deck, a dock, a tennis court, a couple boats (paddle-peddle, and row, and life preservers), and entrances into the house and the two levels from its four sides. The floor of the house that is your downstairs guest suite consists of two large bedrooms (approx. 12'x16' and 16'x20') and modern tiled, windowed bathroom with a shower and tub (and heat lamp for those brisk mornings!), and a large sun/living room (approx. 12'x20'). Each bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, nightstands, dressers, closets, televisions and cable, (wifi, too!), lots of books. To maintain the cleanliness of the home (and keep gastronomically curious wildlife at bay, really!), the entire huge kitchen (range, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, dishwasher), deck (grill and furniture) and upstairs living room/fireplace are also for your use--to be shared with the owner should she decide to be at her lake house that week/weekend. (You may see her, you may not!)

Have a leisurely or an invigorating swim, take one of the boats out fishing in the stocked lake, hike about the trails, play tennis, explore the local villages and the Delaware River (raft, tube, zipline--third longest in USA!), Bushkill Falls, Woodstock, Kadampa Temple, Hawk's Nest, Monticello, West Point (45 minutes)...restaurants, festivals, wonderful! End your day after an evening barbecue and glass of wine, serenaded by the dueling sounds of evening in the forest.

This rustic home with all the modern conveniences is a rare find...

$1500./week; sleeps 4. Price may be negotiable depending on dates/season. No additional fees.
