Description from manager
Located in the heart of the quaint and picturesque village of Annisquam, this sweet vacation home is a charming oasis. Take a walk back in history by strolling through the prototypical colonial village with its white clapboard and black shuttered homes and tiny lanes that were created to accommodate horse-drawn carriages. This is what you come to New England for - history and beaches!
Inside Squam Cottage, you'll find an open concept living and dining area on the ground floor, along with a full bath and Queen bedroom. The eat-in kitchen is simple, but spacious, and has all the major appliances. Upstairs are two more Queen bedrooms, one with a sitting area with a sofa and the other opens to a Juliet balcony with a bistro table and chairs overlooking the back yard. Another full bath and a laundry area complete the second floor.
Several beach options are available to you: Lighthouse Beach and Cambridge Beach. You can put your rented kayak or SUP at any number of spots and paddle across the tidal river to Wingaersheek Beach. The Market Restaurant (farm to table) is around the corner. Or perhaps dinner at the Annisquam Yacht Club (open to the public for dinner only.) For shopping and gifts, stop by the Annisquam Exchange, also right near the cottage.
