Description from owner

The cottage is an updating of the original Coggeshall artist camp overlooking a grassy acre of land leading to its own point of land jutting into Ipswich Bay. With prevailing calm water the shorefront is usable for swimming and boating (boat launch 1/2 mile at Lane's Cove). The cottage is at the end of the built-up shoreline, and walking is possible along the wild waterfront to the northeast for almost a mile, with woods and dune walks just inland.

The house has a large living room on a raised level which has windows looking to the northwest and northeast onto the bay and the shoreline to seaward with a large deck on two levels in front of living and dining rooms and there is a deck/balcony with access from the large upstairs bedroom. Also on the ground level are an updated kitchen, one bathroom with washer/dryer and shower, one double and one single bedroom. The lawn area of almost an acre is large enough for many outdoor sports.

“Spectacular location!”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2016

This home is located on one of the most beautiful coastal properties I've seen -- complete with sunrise and sunset views, tide pools just just steps from the deck, and a wonderful dining room for eating way too much seafood from the local lobster pound!
