Our oceanfront home sits on its own little one acre peninsula in Prospect Harbor with views of the Prospect Harbor Lighthouse, the harbor of Prospect Harbor and infinity! Its a bright, spacious home with vistas from just about every window. Its in excellent condition and has hard wood floors throughout the first level and up into the upstairs hallway. It features everything that you will need during your stay, including cable television, wifi and telephone. Sit on the covered porch or the picnic table to enjoy your meals, cocktails or just relax with a book and enjoy the million dollar view. It has three bedrooms: the master bedroom boasting a queen size bed and en suite bathroom; the second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds and they share a bathroom down the hall. Brand new washer and dryer on the first level sharing a half bath. There is also a Webber grill for your grilling needs.

Our home is in a unique area of Downeast Maine, a sought after section of the Schoodic Peninsula, the quiet neighborhood of Prospect Harbor, walking distance to the post office, a fabulous deli, the popular Dorcas Library and the harbor of Prospect Harbor that has a lobster pound. The beautiful and picturesque harbor of Corea is also near, which also boasts a lobster pound and luncheon restaurant. While in Corea, visit the sophisticated gallery Chapter Two. We are just a few miles away is a section of Acadia National Park that has a picnic area called Frazer Point, the picturesque Schoodic Point and many hiking trails. Coming soon is a campground that will feature more hiking trails. SERC Institute is also in this area and they offer lectures, summer programs, films boasting what nature has to provide in this area. Schoodic Arts for All has a two week Festival with numerous classes (starting July 25) and ending with the Winter Harbor Lobster Festival (Aug. 8), also featuring two weeks of live evening performances at Hammond Hall in Winter Harbor and brown bag lunch performances free in Prospect Harbor. Come join us at the Winter Harbor Lobster Festival and dine on Maine lobster, see the lobster boat races, and meander through the numerous craft fair booths. There is ferry service from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor that runs on a daily basis. In Winter Harbor there is the 5&10 as well as J.M. Gerrish's that serve breakfast and lunch. Also in Birch Harbor there is The Pickled Wrinkle Restaurant and every Monday and Thursday evenings starting at 5pm they have jazz night. Birch Harbor and Winter Harbor have local supermarkets for your needs. There are numerous musical concerts and programs that run throughout the summer; such as The Frenchman Bay Conservancy, featuring free public concerts at Tidal Falls from July 6-August 17, 6:30-8pm where you can either bring your own picnic meal and beverages or purchase food from the food cart; Oceanside Meadows Inn, The Bar Harbor Jazz Festival (June 28-July 26) and the popular The Pierre Monteux School (June 11-July 26, concerts Sundays 5pm and Wednesdays 7:30pm). You may need to purchase your tickets early and some you can purchase at the door. There are numerous restaurants that serve up famous Maine lobster, crab and clams. Maine is famous for lobster rolls and crab rolls. There is something for everyone, Jones Pond for swimming and boating, a beach in Prospect Harbor for swimming, kayaking and canoeing; many antique shops, golfing in Winter Harbor and Sorrento, shops to rent kayaks and canoes and bike rentals.
