Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grayton Orange! Not only was the property management company very accommodating, in particular, Justin provided great service, the house was very clean, spacious, and extremely well-equipped. Where to start...the pool was so refreshing and clean. The pool company even came and cleaned the pool and checked chemical levels. The kitchen was the best out of any house I have ever stayed in because of the equipment (plenty of plates, silverware, pots, pans, etc.) and the appliances. Two dishwashers, large refrigerator and ice maker were top notch. There was plenty of hot water for showers, lots of room including indoor as well as outdoor space to gather for our large group of multiple families. The furnishings were high quality, very comfortable and were mostly kid-friendly, so that was great too. It is a bit of the walk to the beach, but well worth it! If you have kids and a lot of beach gear, definitely get a cart or a wagon. The beach entrance is just next to the state park and not crowded at all. A short walk down the beach or on the road to the RedBar, Shorty's and shops is a nice plus too! The views and beach were absolutely spectacular!!!

Owner's reply:

Thank you for the kind words, Katie. We alway like to hear from our guests. We are glad you had a great time at Grayton Orange. We hope to see you again soon!

Family Vacation 2013

July 26, 2013

Last week our family of ten - four children and six adults- stayed at this property and enjoyed it immensely. The beach is right out of the back door and every bedroom had a bathroom attached. After the grandchildren were asleep, we often sat on the back porch swing, sipped wine, talked about the day, looked at the fireworks in the distance on the Boardwalk and listened to the peaceful sound of waves crashing against the sugar-sand shore. We rented both sides of the duplex and quickly became spoiled having two kitchens, two living rooms, two televisions, six bathrooms, and two porches with swings. We found the house had plenty of room for everyone and its location was close enough to stores, shopping and restaurants. Our favorite restaurant was the Black Pearl near Destin. The house wasn't as pretty as the surrounding houses from the street view, but what we found inside and the beach side more than compensated. Problems: Because the house was recently purchased there are a few things that needed repair, but minimal and they didn't take away from our stay. During our last three nights, a new group of people arrived next door and fired off noisy fireworks every night but the last one (it was raining). We didn't report them because they were obviously celebrating a wedding or some other special event and we didn't want to create problems. But it was annoying and I was afraid they would awaken the grandchildren. The children did not awaken because their bedrooms were on the street side and they were exhausted from playing on the beach. Eventually, around 11 p.m., the revelers left the beach and the tranquil peace returned. Would we rent this property again? Absolutely!

Everything you want!!

April 10, 2012

I have rented many homes over the years for vacations. Grayton Orange is the nicest and most well equiped home that I have stayed in. The kitchen was filled every cooking utinsel you would need. The view is spectacular. Every evening was spent watching on the porch watching the sunset on the sand dunes with the ocean to the side. The pool area is private and extremely comfortable. This house has it all!!! Thank you!
