Description of the Great Barrington vacation home rental
Elegant, contemporary one bedroom house sleeps 4. Great central location. Peace, beauty and convenience. Perfectly located for all Berkshires activities, while still maintaining privacy and quiet. All new construction.

This is my mother-in-law's property (I handle her online reservations) and was designed and built by her local architect son, Stephen Dietemann. Beautifully outfitted with fantastic views from every window, overlooking Rising Pond of the Housatonic River.

Quality new construction nestled in the pines amongst massive boulders of Monument Mountain. One bedroom house with sleeper sofa comfortably sleeps 2 more. Wood burning stove and carport make winter stays cozy and so easy. Easy access to all winter sports.Beautiful new construction nestled in the pines amongst massive boulders of Monument Mountain. Easy access to all winter sports and all summer season activities.

Beautiful architectural details and style, comfortable furniture and new bed. One bedroom with queen size bed and one large bathroom with separate shower and free-standing mermaid tub. New, very comfortable sofa sleeper in main room sleeps two more.

Central air and heat and stylish wood burning stove provide coziness in winter. Air conditioning and ceiling fans provide comfort in the summer but it is rarely needed.

Fully equipped kitchen with all cooking utensils and serving dishes make eating on the deck and entertaining a delight. Walking distance to Berkshire Mountain Bakery for delicious french pastries, bread and take away pizza! Taft Organic Farms is right down the road 1.25 miles. Local loop bus stops a few yards down the road.

Accommodates 4 people but for larger parties, consider booking the downstairs Rock Garden apartment with another private bedroom and single cot.

Really special place to stay in the Berkshires

Really special place to stay in the Berkshires

March 15, 2016

We were truly delighted to find such a spacious, clean, contemporary, sun-lit, apartment so near everything we come to the Berkshires for: Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Great Barrington's charming night life, hiking, and simply beautiful surroundings. The cathedral ceilings and large clerestory windows combine with the huge windows at eye level to create the impression of living out-of-doors. These windows --surrounded as the house is by large pines in all directions and the Housatonic River beyond-- makes the house feels like a luxurious 'treehouse'! In addition, Peg and Bee are both extremely helpful regarding anything we needed during our stay. I can't recommend this apartment enough.
