Description from owner

My 1350 sq. ft. town home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the desirable Desert Hills 2 area of Green Valley. With two bedrooms and two baths, you will find plenty of room for a short or extended stay. One of the best features of this home is that it has a fabulous view of the Santa Rita mountains from the rear patio. Built on a peninsula surrounded by arroyos and lush desert vegetation, renters find this the perfect desert hideaway in the middle of Green Valley.

This town home is very clean and comfortable. The galley kitchen is easy to work in and is fully stocked with all utensils, dinner ware, glasses and pots and pans that you will need for an extended stay. There is hardwood flooring in the living room, kitchen and hallways. The Master bedroom is carpeted. Stay entertained with Dish TV and high speed internet.

Close to the Desert Hills Social Center, Elks Club and Presbyterian Church, it is an easy walk to the recreation center where you will find a large community pool, four tennis courts, lapidary center, ceramics club and exercise room. The auditorium is used almost daily for special events including euchre every Friday evening. There is always something to do!

My town home is also available off-season from April-December for minimum stays of 4 nights. This is perfect for those who wish to visit a relative at La Posada or other senior care facility which cannot accommodate them. Nightly rates run around $70, just about what you would pay for a hotel room at the Best Western. If you are in town looking at homes to purchase, this also is the perfect place to stay while your realtor shows you the area. Also, if you are looking for a home in Desert Hills 2, this short stay will allow you to experience what it would be like to live here.

You will love being at this town home because of it’s quiet location, stunning views and comfortable living areas.

I also have another town home located on the same street. It is smaller in size, 1027 sq. ft. with no Arizona Room but has a nice mountain view from the front patio. The rates for this town home are less per month. If you are interested, please contact me and I will forward pictures.

About the area

Desert Hills 2 located in a very quiet area on a small peninsula surrounded by desert arroyos with abundant wildlife. (Expect to see humming birds, quails, javelinas and an occasional bobcat.) You will be less than 1/4 mile (easy walking distance) to the Desert Hills Social Center. Here you can enjoy the large outdoor heated pool, four tennis courts, Lapidary Studio, fitness room, and Ceramic arts center. Next to the social center is the Valley Presbyterian Church and Elks Club. Canoa Hills and San Ignacio golf courses are within a two mile radius. Both are public courses. The nearest shopping area is four miles north at the Continental Plaza where you will find Safeway (food store), McDonalds, TruValue Hardware, CVS, UPS, hair salons, dress shops and more. Wells Fargo Bank and the Post Office are also nearby. Just a little further north is the Green Valley Mall where you can find restaurants and shops of all kinds. On Wednesday there is an open "farmers" market where vendors come from all over to hawk their wares. Anything and everything from fresh food and homemade tamales to handcrafted art and local specialties. It's like a flea market only a little more refined. At the northern most shopping area of Green Valley is Duval Mine Road, about eight miles from the condo. Here you will find large stores like Walmart Super Center, Ross's, JoAnne Fabrics, Big Lots, Green Valley Cinema, Bealls, Ashley Furniture and more. If you travel south on I-19 you will come to Tubac, an art community similar to Sedona. Shop for yourself or gifts, there is something for all tastes. Luminary weekend is in early December and the Holiday Marketplace at the Tubac Art Center runs for three weeks from late November up to Christmas. Desert Hills Social Center, Elks Club, Presbyterian Church all within 1/4 mile. Grill on the Green 2mi. Really good restaurant on the Canoa Ranch Golf Course. Great views plus excellent food and happy hour 1/2 price appetizers.

“Fantastic vacation rental”

Reviewed 1 Jan 2015

When we first planned a vacation our vacation in southern Arizona, we were thinking hotel. However, on further consideration, it seemed that a house or apartment would better suit our needs. I am so glad that I found VacationHomeRentals and the house that Karen and Tom Wolffis had available. The house was just what we needed. Plenty of room, very nicely furnished, impeccably clean and conveniently located. The neighborhood where this house is located is also quiet and the view from the patio or Arizona room encompasses a beautiful view of the Santa Rita mountains. Karen and Tom are gracious and helpful. All in all a very pleasant experience that I would highly recommend.

“Great time in Green Valley!”

Reviewed 22 Mar 2014

We loved our stay in this sunny, spacious home in Green Valley. The master bedroom had a very comfortable king-sized bed with a remodelled adjoining bathroom. The inviting living room was a great place to relax in after a day of exploring. The 'Arizona room' was a bonus with patio doors leading to a large, sunny patio with an amazing view of the mountains. Staying in Green Valley is a great alternative to staying in Tucson. We loved exploring the surrounding areas - arsty Tubac, Patagonia Lake, Madeira Canyon with its wonderful hiking trails and picnic areas. The Tucson attractions are a short drive away - the Mount Lemmon scenic byway and the Desert Wildlife Museum are a must do. We would definitely stay here again!

Owner's reply: Yes. The Arizona room is one of the condos best features with that fabulous view of the Santa Rita mountains. We are happy that your stay was everything you had hoped for in our diverse community and look forward to hosting you again.

“Great view of the mountains”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2014

The place was in excellent condition and it was completely furnished. The beds were great. The kitchen had all the items we needed to be comfortable.

Owner's reply: This is not your average condo as you have pointed out. We take pride in all the small personal touches such as colorful southwest artwork hanging on every wall to the turqoise painted kitchen with mexican style door pulls. We want to make you feel like you are living in the desert southwest every day of your vacation.

“Excellent experience”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2012

We rented here for 6 years (2007-2012) from January 1 to May 1 (4 months) each year. We returned every year for the mountain view from the Arizona room, good weather, nice neighbors, nearby recreation centers, convenient location, nice community and good local golf courses. The townhouse is very comfortable and clean. In March of 2012 we became owners of our own townhome about 1 mile from this property, otherwise we would be returning.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the review Bob and Mary. We hate to see you go but look forward to seeing you and your new home soon.
