“Bluewater Cottage delightful”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2016

This was the perfect place for five family members to gather. The owner was a pleasure to work with. Everyone had a great time and we were sorry we had to leave. We would heartily endorse anyone else's rental of this property.

Owner's reply: Thank you Matt for your gracious review. We would love to have you guys back.

My sister, a classmate and I stayed for a week at this beautiful home. The posted pictures do not do this property justice. It is absolutely the most beautiful, most peaceful spot we could have asked for. I am a high school teacher. We were in the area because we were attending a wedding. I didn't know how much stress I was under until I walked into this spot. Instantly, I felt at peace. The house has wonderful open spaces! We went into the little nearby town and bought groceries. There is nothing needed except food. Every appliance and kitchen utensil was there for our use. It was glorious to be able to spend the day whale-watching and to come "home" to a place where we could prepare our own meals and enjoy one another's company without being a burden to our neighbors or having to reserve a table at a restaurant. The master bedroom has a deck attached. Every morning, I would wake early and sip tea on the back enclosed porch while looking over the crystal clear water and the majestic mountains. The owners are MARVELOUS! Even when we had a mishap with a rail in the bathroom, they were gracious and fixed it without incident. I would definitely recommend this place and when I return to the area, I will be looking to stay here once again. We still talk about the great time we had in this fabulous home. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your nice review Melanie. We are happy that you guys really enjoyed the cottage.

“Beautiful ocean view home!”

Our family of 5 stayed at the Blue Water cottage and had a lovely time. This home was very clean and had plenty of space for the whole family! The kitchen is well stocked and the owner is a pleasure to speak with. If you are considering a visit to the Coupeville area of Whidbey Island I highly recommend the beautiful home!

“Sunsets Are Beautiful at Bluewater Cottage”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2015

The owners were there to welcome us and you could tell they had worked hard to make their "cottage" a pleasant place to vacation. Everything was clean and bright with lots of windows to enjoy the views. Spent most of our time either on the deck or in the sunroom which became the "sunset room" as you could watch the lingering sunsets and beautiful colors as darkness descended. We enjoyed walking down to the beach and low tide strolls seeing birds along the way and the Pt. Townsend ferry plying back and forth. There were only 2 of us but the house has 3 bedrooms and would be great for a family or adult vacationers. Nearby Greenback Farm is worth a visit.

“Great 4th of July Weekend for Four Couples!”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2014

This was a lovely "get away" for us. The kitchen was quite well equipped (glad we took our own knives for cooking, though!) Everything was clean and very comfortable. Great location and beautiful view. Nice having three bathrooms--rare in rental cottages. We had great fun playing croquette, badminton and watching World Cup Soccer. Quiet location (well, except for 4th of July fireworks...but that was fun!). Great garden with a resident hummingbird; deer wandering along the road and bunnies on our morning walk. Only drawback was that the beach was a bit of a walk down/up hill. We might have been able to drive there: there were houses at the bottom, but not sure about parking. We are strong and energetic, but others might find it a bit of a trek. No time to use the community pool, but we took a look and it was quite nice--there was a caretaker but not sure if he was a lifeguard...Good value for a good weekend!
