My husband, Simon and I are English and moved to St. Lucia in 2007. We renovated this property and set up Blue Skies. We love the Island and our ambition is to help our guests have a fantastic time.
We love the Rodney Bay area, it is where everything happens. You have the best of both worlds: the buzz surrounding the restaurants, bars and night-clubs along by Reduit Beach...The beautiful scenery and quiet sophistication of Rodney Bay Marina parading elegant yachts of every shape and size.
Within a few minutes we have Pigeon Island - a National Park, so quiet and beautiful: you can lay on a near deserted beach taking in the fantastic views with the calm waters of the Caribbean sea gently lapping. For contrast, travel another 7 or 8 minutes to the wild side. Cas en Bas Beach is on the Atlantic Coast: here the constant warm winds provide power for the Kite Surfers and horses take their riders into the sea. The landscape is rugged and breathtaking.
We offer a free orientation to our guests to the above areas the day after they arrive, to show them the diversity of this part of the Island and hopefully help them to get as much as possible from their stay.
Throughout the time guests stay with us, we are available to assist; whether it is a small thing like where to buy a particular item or some thing larger -planning a major excursion of the Island for instance, we are always delighted to help in any way we can - we love St. Lucia and want our guests to leave with unique and long-lasting happy memories.

Beautiful Apartment /Wonderful hosts

Highly, highly recommend this property! Simon and Francine are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Simon gave us a wonderful orientation tour of the island which was helpful for us in finding hiking trails and places to dine. If you are a dog lover, you will thoroughly enjoy the company of their friendly dogs. We have traveled many places, always rent apartments or B&Bs and have never come across lovelier people than Simon and Francine. I guarantee you will be very, very pleased if you decide to make this your vacation home while in St Lucia.

Stayed at Blue Skies Feb. 13 to 27 -2011. Simon And Francine are two lovely people who go out of there way to make your holiday a very memorable one. The apartments are very comfortable with all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday. I could go on and on , but you have to experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy. Great hideaway in Rodney Bay

We stayed at Blue Skies the first week of January 2011 in the 2 bdrm unit. The 4 adults in our party had lots of room. The rave reviews on Trip advisor about the hospitality from Simon and Francine, the owners, were all true. The unit itself is very clean and well equipped. The welcome pack of groceries in the fridge and orientation tour of the area were very helpful in planning our week. Blue Skies is a few hundred metres out of the way of the main part of town in a residential area which feels like staying in a home. The pool and hot tub were like a private oasis. Nothing bad to say about this property. Blue Skies puts the "hospitality" back into the Hospitality industry.
I can't recommend Blue Skies highly enough. We went to St Lucia for a friend's wedding and were looking for somewhere that had a quiet location, but was near to everything that was going on and we weren't disappointed. Simon met us at the airport with cold drinks and then drove us up through the island to the apartment. We stayed in the two bed apartment and it was fantastic. We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted with a welcome pack of food to keep us going til we got to the supermarket, and were given a lift down to the a nearby restaurant for dinner. Francine and Simon are brilliant hosts - don't miss the orientation trip that they offer and their tips on where to go as we would have missed out on some of the treasures of St Lucia, which our friends staying in hotels never got to see. Would definitely recommend Jambe du Bois at Pigeon Island, Marigot Bay and Cas en Bas.
We also rented Simon and Francine's second car for ten days and for us it meant that we saw the true St Lucia which is outstandingly beautiful. They drive on the left (so great for me being from the UK) and despite the apparent lack of road rules, driving was stress free, as the drivers are very polite and friendly and the roads in pretty good condition (although plenty of hair pin bends to keep you awake). On the couple of days that we didn't have the car though, Francine and Simon were more than happy to give us lifts down to the beach or arrange taxis.
The apartment was cleaned on a regular basis throughout our stay, Francine and Simon were on hand for any queries and helped us organise trips, and the apartment, gardens and pool at the house were in beautiful condition. Would definitely go again.

Our stay at Blue Skies was perfect. Very comfortable accomodation for 3 adults with all amenities and lots of little touches to make you feel welcome and at home. Our hosts were wonderful people and most helpful in orienting us to the island and its treasures. Blue Skies is located in a quiet area within easy walking distance of Gros Islet, the marina and Rodney Bay, and is convenient to catch local transport (buses) which is cheap and efficient. Friday night 'jump up' party in Gros Islet is loads of fun and the beaches and hiking at Pigeon Island were lovely. Hope to retun some day. DlJames, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
