"This home is the perfect place in paradise"
"This is our 7th visit to this neighborhood, been coming since 2001. This home is the perfect place in paradise. So much light and so sweetly appointed. We really appreciate the abundance of beach towels and snorkel gear and boogie boards, the well appointed kitchen, and the welcome ?starter kit.? We walked to Tunnels many times - a perfect distance (along the road!). Snorkeling the reef right here was the best tho! So quiet, with eels and turtles, a beached seal, and an octopus and such beautiful coral. Loved cruising the 'canyons? every day. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home in this most magical place.

Carol who visited May 30, 2015 says
"Best vacation house EVER!"
My husband and another couple have been vacationing on Kaua'i together since 2003. We love Haena because of its neighborhood feel and because of its proximity to Tunnels and Kepuhi beach. The place we used to stay became too expensive and a friend recommended Hale Alealea. When we arrived we were immediately enchanted by the large common area, open kitchen, and two large en suite bedrooms. The lanai faces the ocean and is delightfully breezy and comfortable. We enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset, and we met and became friendly with the people who own the house across the street. They allowed us to cross their property so we could walk directly to the beach morning and evening, and invited us for pupus towards the end of our stay. It's great to be able to walk to Tunnels, but Kepuhi is our favorite beach because the coral is still very much alive and there's plenty of sea life to see. The house is very comfortable and so relaxing--we found it very easy to spend a lot of time there. We hope to return very soon!

"a great house equipped with everything...says the A Family who visited June 16, 2015
"We enjoyed our time here at this beautiful house on this beautiful island! This was a great house equipped with everything that we needed. It was perfect for walking to the beach and driving to the nearby shops. We are looking forward to coming again."

Nicole S. visited Nov. 9, 2016 and says:
I had the pleasure of staying at Hale Alealea earlier this month for a girls getaway, and it was fantastic! The house was spacious, light and airy, and it seemed always the perfect temperature. The kitchen was great. We brewed fresh coffee every morning and laid out an array of fresh tropical fruit for ourselves. Make sure you visit the nearby Waipa Farmers Market on Tuesdays. The fruit selection was incredible! The lanai was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the front garden view and the "peekaboo" ocean view, and there is ample room. From there, we could gauge how calm the water was. There is very easy access to stroll along the sand as well as to venture out snorkeling. All we had to do was walk straight out the front yard and under the stilts of the property in front, and we were on the beach and ready to go. There is a restaurant and an art gallery/cafe in walking distance, but we were drawn to nearby Sushigirl for the poke bowls and sushi rolls. So fresh and just a short drive away. And, there are plenty of other dining options and markets also just a short drive away. All in all, it was a luxurious getaway. Very relaxing, spacious, and beautiful. It was my first time to Kauai, and I look forward to returning. I highly recommend this property!
