Description of the Hamilton vacation chalet rental
The Grubstake Lodge (formerly The Grubstake Restaurant) is now available for vacation rental. There are the Great Room, three bedrooms, kitchen and 1.75 bathrooms. The Lodge is on the side of Downing Mountain 2000 feet above and overlooking Hamilton MT. It is located on 40 acres and adjoining the National Forest. There is wildlife galore and that same "Million-dollar view" you used to enjoy while dining but now yours to use exclusively with your own guests. A very private location and get-a-way!

The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a bunk bed with single on top and full double bed under, and the third bedroom has standard bunk beds. There is also a couch in the Great Room that folds out into a queen bed. There is a large screen TV with Dish, VCR and DVD player. As you enjoy the hot tub you can view the valley way down there!

Our low introductory rent rates are $160/night (3-day min). $975/week and $3700/month - linens & towels not included. Add $20/night and $50/week for linens & towels included. We also have discounts for seniors and local residents. Contact Rich for more information and reservations.

Oh, and one more thing - The Grubstake Lodge is available for purchase along with 20 acres!

Area Information
The Bitterroot Valley runs north/south with Missoula at the north end. The Bitterroot River flows north towards Missoula - not many rivers flow north. The Bitterroot Range is on the west side and the Saphire Mountains are on the east side. It is a very beautiful valley with many outdoor activities avaialble from fishing to hunting to water sports to skiing in the winter. There are many historical sites - The Lewis & Clark Corp of Discovery passed through the valley both ways. Cheif Joseph and his Nez Perce Trib passed through in 1877 being chased by the US Army. Early settlers settled the valley early - the first settlemnt was Stevensville where you will find St Mary's Mission and Fort Owens and there are even ghost towns not too far away. We will be happy to send you in the directions you want to go!
