“Lovely home; beautiful lakeside location!”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2016

My husband & I rented this vacation home for a long-weekend, with 3 of our married children and their families. We were a total of 8 adults, 2 children and 2 infants staying in this spacious home from Thursday through Monday, and we had a ton of room and a fantastic time. We enjoyed swimming and kayaking(supplied by the owner) from our private dock; "camp-fires and barbecues each night and generally enjoying the outdoors on the decks overlooking Lake Ariel. We spent hours at the community pool and beach relaxing with the kids and enjoying each other's company. The Hide-out is a great place to vacation, there are many things to do, but we never really got to do other things because we enjoyed the Renn's home so much. The owner, Allison Renn, was very responsive to all emails and graciously allowed us an early check-in and late check-out. The home is accurately described in the write-up (TV's, games, game table, etc.) - so there are no surprises. If there were an option for 4.5 stars I'd give it, and the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the downstairs rooms had a musty odor. But all-told it was a superior experience.

“Had a blast”

Ty for allowing us to enjoy your place. We came with 8 kids and 6 adults. We all had plenty of room. Beautiful view.

Owner's reply: Glad you enjoyed yourself

“great family getaway”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2014

We really enjoyed the house and all it had to offer. It was big enough to accommodate our group of 13 comfortably. Both the kids and the adults enjoyed going out on the lake with the boats. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and made our stay very enjoyable!

“Great Location”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2013

The view of the lake was beautiful from both decks and from the ground floor bedrooms. We loved swimming off the dock with our kids and grandkids and taking our kayaks out on the lake. The weekends were a bit more crowded, but Monday - Friday we felt like we owned the whole lake - a beautiful location. The house is very spacious. It's a bit run down, but my large family spread out and felt very relaxed. I'd rent it again, but I'd come prepared to wipe down the cobwebs and clean a bit upon arrival.

“Great for family gathering with small kids”

Reviewed 7 Jul 2013

The house is delightfully located on the lake and has a nice porch for outdoor dining and grilling. The owners were very helpful and easy to deal with. There is WiFi throughout the house though it does not come back on quickly if weather causes a blackout ( we experienced one for about 1 hour). The club amenities - beaches and pools, though crowded are pleasant and certainly provide activities for all ages. A kayak or two would have been a welcomed addition for the house, though one can rent canoes and paddle boats near the clubhouse Overall there was ample room\ for all 14 + infant (6 bedrooms, washer/ dryer and 3 baths) and lots closeby to keep us busy and occupied even when it rained, One minor complaint - wish there were more activities for kids at the clubhouse ( only game rooms) when the weather was bad, but luckily there is a movie theater not far away and a small zoo one can visit. Overall there was nothing negative and I would rate the experience a 4 1/2 stars and recommend the facility for families with young kids since the different levels do provide some privacy.
