“Maine Visit”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2015

Originally we were just looking for accommodation within easy reach of Brunswick to enable us to visit relatives, but within a very short time we realised we had found so much more. Set in the pines with the tidal bay where we watched seals, sea ducks and lobster traps being raised, to enjoying fixing fresh seafood bought just up the road at Gurneys and Allens in South Harpswell and the evenings relaxing by the cute fire on a lovely cozy couch in the most welcoming cottage, it doesn't get much better than this. We arrived home feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, Thanks Stephanie, it was perfect.

“Agréable moment ...”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2015

A 5 min un must.... On y retourne probablement l'an prochain!

Owner's reply: English translation: Stephanie is a hostess as discreet as considerate ... The location ; quiet and friendly neighbors knowing you get comfortable memories remain more enjoyable ... Kayak outside the chalet and drive on small roads pleasant surroundings ... Then back to the cottage for a bbq or a lobster in gurnet trading co . 5 min .... a must probably be back there next year! Thank you very much , it was a pleasure meeting you both.

“2nd Year and still love it.”

We stayed for two weeks this year and found it as peaceful and lovely as it was last year. Would go back again without question. The owner were as accommodating as any could be,very nice.

“Gurnet Cove Cottage”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2013

My 2 sons, 2 of their friends and I spent the 3rd week of August in this cottage in the Indian Rest neighborhood in Gurnet Cove. It was a snug fit for 5 adults and there were several items we set aside to provide more space for the week. Otherwise, the cottage is well equipped with everything we could possibly need and is surrounded by wonderful decks and a screened porch. It's an easy stroll from the house to the water and the very friendly neighbors shared not only the pier, but loaned us bicycles and board games as well. From the pier we were able to go kayaking and swimming every day. It's also a beautiful area for biking but, given the narrowness of the roads, you need to choose routes wisely. Our meals included locally caught mussels, fresh crabs, beef and eggs direct from the farm and plenty of locally grown blueberries. If you're looking for a cottage for a peaceful, week-long retreat, I can't recommend this one too highly.

Owner's reply: So glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your very complimentary review. Stephanie

“Cosy Cottage on Cove”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2013

The cottage is charming, set among tall trees and overlooking a cove. From the enclosed back porch we enjoyed watching a variety of sea birds take advantage of low tides and fishermen checking out the lobster pots, The kitchen has all the equipment needed for cooking meals, with the exception of measuring spoons. The beds were comfortable and there is additional sleeping space with a sleep sofa in the living room and a day bed on the enclosed porch. I understood this summer (2013) to be the first time the family has offered the cottage for rent. The owners have done a good job in getting it ready for renters.

“Quaint cottage”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2013

Stephanie, the owner was great to work with during the rental process. Cottage is very sweet with pine paneling. Good sized kitchen with everything you need. Living room and 2 bedrooms decent too. You are on a tidal cove, not open ocean. As 3 older women we weren't really abel to get down to the water as there is a bank there. Younger folks may not have same problem. Nice private location in the pine trees on dead end street with lots of room on both sides of cottage seperating you from the neighbors. Convienently located near Brunswick so you can shop there and have ready access to Route 1/295. It was very hot and humid while we were there so pretty buggy. No A/C but two large fans. I would certainly go back.

Owner's reply: Thank you we are glad you enjoyed the cottage and we appreciate your review.
