|Per week||$750 - $1,500|
For the winter snowmobilers and cross country skiers, this home is located to the east of Maine's snowmobile hub (Rangeley) with easy access to groomed trails including ITS 84 which gives you access to virtually the entire state. If you wish to work on your snowmobiles, a seperate out building and/or garage is available at no extra cost. This house is on a 4.5 mile well maintained access road, so 4WD is preferable for winter access, although quite a few people get in and out using FWD. The house is also easily accessible in the winter time via the snowmobile trails, which are but a three minute ride to the parking area at the boat launch. The house is fully powered for winter use including an automated backup generator. Great Moose Lake is also a very popular destination for ice fishing. If you're interested in a winter rental and are interested in ice fishing, then I'm sure I can be talked into purchasing a portable bob house.
The interior of the home is simply beautiful. Most of the interior was custom built in knotty pine and the hardwood floors simply light up the home. There is an open and airy loft overlooking the living room with huge glass windows overlooking the deck and lake. The finished basement holds the fourth bedroom and has sliders directly facing the lake. The fully equipped kitchen is available for your home cooked meals. A washer and dryer are also provided. The home has approximately 2200sq ft of living space. There is a full sized soft and fluffy futon in the loft, so if you're the kind of person who likes to wake up to an expansive view of a pristine Maine lake, then you'll want to claim that as your bed!
Nearby you will find restaurants and golf courses, as well as a guide service which will cater to your needs, be it fishing, photography or simply exploring.
If you see an upcoming week on the availability calendar empty, feel free to make an offer, I'd rather have the home occupied then empty!

We spent Christmas at this BEAUTIFUL home on the lake and stayed from 12/20-12/30/04. There are not enough words to describe how lovely, warm and inviting this home is! EVERYTHING we needed to feel as if we were in our own home was provided. The furnishings are 1st rate and the view is unbeatable! John has definitely put a lot of thought into making sure the guest is comfortable & entertained (adults, as well as children), and believe me, you will be! This is truly a property you won't want to leave, but once you do, can't wait to return to! Additionally, John is a wonderful person who made us feel welcome and is as warm & inviting as the home itself! Thank you again John, we will be back! Jacqui and Dave Loring
John, Nancy and I had a great time at your lake house. We even had time to ride to the Canadian border on scenic route 201, visit the Maine coast at Belfast and even hit Ogunquit Beach on the way home. We knew we were back in civilization when we spent an hour and a half crossing the GW Bridge in NYC. I really enjoyed kayaking on the lake despite the temperatures in the 50's and low 60's. Take care. Rich. October 2004
