Open floor plan with two bedrooms on each floor, with a living room and den on the first floor, and a huge rec room upstairs (with pool table). There is a restful front porch as well as a big, private rear deck (16' x 26'). The bike trail abuts the back yard. Free wi-fi and cable TV. Overall a popular, clean, modern home with plenty of sleeping and living space. Room configuration is as follows:

den (with flatscreen TV)
bedroom #2 with queen
full bath with tub/shower
den with TV
rec room with pool table
bedroom #3 with queen and two twin beds
bedroom #4 with two twin beds
full bath with tub/shower
private backyard with 16x20 deck and outdoor shower
8x30 front porch
BEACHES: All houses on the street share the deeded beach, so it's not private, but a short walk from the house and a nice way to enjoy the water (swimming, using the kayak or fishing from the shore). There's also a large town beach (with a lifeguard) about a 1/2 mile down the road. By purchasing a beach sticker, you can use the boat ramp to put in a ski or sail boat. I will leave a 2 person kayak at the house for your use as well.
Bank Street beach on Nantucket Sound is Harwich's best, and is 4 miles away.
Nauset Beach (National Seashore) in Orleans is only 20 minutes away.
RECREATION: The Cape Cod Tech High School is a 1/2 mile down the road which has tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamonds and a 1/4 mile track. This is also where the Brewster Whitecaps (Cape Cod League) play.
There are several acres of conservation land where you can hike (or run) on paths through the woods. They are 3/4 of a mile away and easily reached via the bike trail.
If you're interested in golf, Cranberry Golf course is about 1 1/2 miles away, and one of the best courses on the Cape.

“Great spot to relax AND explore”
Central location to explore the Cape AND great place to relax. Lots of space to relax together as a family or relax on the hammock with a good book. Great back deck for early coffee or evening beverage. Lots of options for local activities (bike trail, pond, nearby basketball and tennis courts) and many good nearby beaches and restaurants (Ruggies, Mad Minnow, Sundae School). Great jumping off point - explored Harwich and Chatham as well as Osterville and Provincetown. And Kevin was SUPER responsive. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
We rented Kevin's house for our yearly family vacation. I cannot say enough about Kevin or his property. There was plenty of room for all of us, 8 adults 5 children.(ages 4 & under) The deck was perfect. The pond was great for the little ones. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Kevin for sharing your home with us!
“Best. Vacation. Ever....”
...is not an exaggeration. Both landlord and house were as advertised. Kevin was easy to reach before and during our stay. House literally has everything you could need beside towels and linens. So close to Long Pond, but access was a little steep for some of the older members of our family. Fortunately, the neighbors are as nice as Kevin and they offered their walkway for the kayak. Banks Street Beach was very close and wonderful. Would recommend this place to family of friends.
“Great house for a big group”
The house is beautiful and spacious. The kitchen is fairly well equipped (four coffee makers!) and we pulled off some overly ambitious cooking plans. The dining room easily sits 12 for meals. But there is also lots of room for a big group to break into smaller ones: porch and patio outside, and family room, den, game room, and TV nook inside. (The driveway accommodates four cars.) The bedroom configuration is a bit confusing and we had to discuss it with the owner before being sure the house could accommodate us but five couples and two children fit comfortably without resorting to the sofa sleeper! The Bank Street and Red River beaches are both convenient, nice but quite different in character. Shopping and dining are nearby as well.
“Great vacation on the cape”
Great property well located in Harwich, short walk to the pond and just a short drive to either the bay or ocean beaches. Very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. Would definitely return again to this home!
“Quiet & Accessible”
Extended family of 12 stayed for a week and the house was perfect for all ages (ranging from 2mths to mid 70s). Gave us all more than enough space and things to do during the week! The quiet neighborhood was perfect (especially for walking our dogs with our two young kids), the cut thru to the rail trail proved invaluable (a tad steep for some - however a more flat road access was just around the corner. The kayak was a hit with all the kids (and adults alike - even Grandma was out in the middle of the lake!). Agree with others here that the kitchen was small, but we also grilled outside for most of the time - who wants to be stuck cooking in a kitchen?! An excellent time had by all!
“Convenient and Charming”
Stayed for a week in this Harwich home. the first two days were terribly hot but there were fans everywhere so we were comfortable. Everything is here that you need. The bike trail is so close, the lake is beautiful and the home is well equipped. I imagine the upstairs would be great for kids. Television, a pool table, games, a bathroom, and a bunch of twin beds. Downstairs are two more queen-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is small, but we grilled outside on the beautiful deck or went out to dinner...Hey, it's vacation. Overall, a wonderful time on the Cape. You can't beat that!
“LOTS of ROOM! This HOUSE HAS EVERYTHING!”
Lots of room! Including large game room with pool table. Large front porch and XLarge back deck. Big yard for games, etc. Also, has hammock and horseshoes in upper yard! Walk out the front door and you can see the beautiful view of Long Pond, walk 30 steps to Long Pond to the small local beach area, perfect for quick dips and fishing, kayaking (2 person kayak at the house with life jackets!). Walk out the back door..down small path to the bike path! General store a few steps away. Explore down bike path a little and more public beach areas. The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, plenty of room, we figured out with all the beds and pull out couches, could have slept 13 to 14 people! The 2 bedrooms upstairs have walk in closet area for suitcases, clothes, etc. This house has everything! Refrigerator even has ice maker for your drinks, coolers/etc. Gas grills and plenty of candles, grilling accessories, plates, all at the house. Laundry and dishwasher. Just bring your towels and sheets! The kitchen is smaller size but you're on vacation, who spends time in the kitchen! We had a blast and are planning to rent this house in Harwich next July. The owner was available via email and/or phone calls for any questions we had about house/area. Very close to house, we played tennis daily about 1-2 miles away..VERY close to Rt6 and a few miles from Rt28. Harwich Port, a great little town to walk around with many ocean beaches around. And the bay side a couple of miles the other way....so much to do, and all so close to the house. You could have taken the bike path just about anywhere from the house.
