Our 11 Hoyt Road, Harwich Port, Cape Cod, MA vacation home, located in a friendly, quiet, established family neighborhood, complies with these Harwich Regulations:


For FAMILIES and COUPLES with children, the MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY of our home is the MAXIMUM of the 9 sleeping accommodations in the 6 beds for a MAXIMUM of up to NINE ADULTS AND CHILDREN (not to include young children using the renter's own port-a-cribs)

For NON FAMILY GROUPS, the MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY of our home is up to SIX ADULTS using our home's SIX BEDS in four bedrooms.

4 Bedrooms (Sleeps up to 9 in six Beds for either up to 6 people each in their own Bed or for 2 couples in two Queen Beds, one couple in one Double Bed, and 3 people in three Single Beds).

(HANDICAP INFORMATION: Access from the drive way is one step up into the Kitchen or one step up into the Enclosed Front Porch. There is a threshold from the Kitchen to the Living Room, the Living Room to the Bedroom, & a half step down threshold from the Living Room to the enclosed Front Porch.)

11x12 Second Floor Double Bedroom: with Double Bed.

Children's Security Gate at the top of the Living Room Stairs. Portable Security Gates are stored in the First Floor Queen Bedroom for the bottom of the Living Room Stairs. Portable Security gate also stored in the Garage for set up in front of the Kitchen Door between the Garage and the House to contain young children in the back yard.

The Summer checkin time is ordinarily 3:00 on the day of your arrival, Saturday, and the checkout time is ordinarily 10:00 AM on the day of your departure, Saturday. Please let us know if you would like to be arrive earlier or depart later so we can work around your schedule for cleaning.

Fall, Winter, Spring Off Season checkin/ is more flexible, just let us know your schedule.

Driving is at a leisurely pace since HarwichPort has NO traffic lights, NO delays, NO back ups, and NO road wider than two lanes.

TO Mid Cape Highway, Route 6, Exit 10 (following the Nantucket Ferry icon Signs), south on Route toward Harwich, then left onto Route 39 (Main St), Right onto Bank St (at the Harwich Town Offices, Brooks Library, Speedway Gas Station) toward the Village of Harwich Port for just under a mile, bearing left (east) at fork in road then immediate left onto Hoyt Rd to our home on the right at (Hoyt Rd is near the junction of Bank St, Miles St, Freeman St, just before you get to Snow Inn Rd,, Route ain St).

Our house is in an Ideal location close to HarwichPort Village, in an established quiet neighborhood, with a constant Summer Ocean Breeze flowing through the 28 house open windows, toward the working Cape Cod Cranberry Bog (Farm) and Conservation Land across the street.

60 Acres of Harwich open & accessible Conservation Land at the end of Belle Brook Lane, a 500 foot walk east (right) from the end of the driveway -- Great for walking, exploring the Blue Bird Trail, Birding, kite flying, etc.

Our home is a 10 minute (half mile) walk on the of RD, ST, and INN RD which connects to Merkle Beach / Bank St Beach. Or Bike, Stroller, or drop off at (no parking), (parking with Town parking lot Beach Sticker).
Our home is within easy half mile walking on the of RD, ST, and ST which bring you to the Harwich Port Main Street village restaurants and shops such as George's Pizza, Cranberry Liquors, Harwich Spirits Shop, Dino's Grill, Mason Jar Deli/Sandwiches, Bonatt's Bakery/Restaurant, Port Restaurant, The Hot Stove, Sea Grille, Embers Restaurant, Reed Book Store, Sunday School Ice Cream Parlor, Cumberland Farms Convenience Store, Churches, Banks, Gas Stations, Three Church Thrift Shops.

House is a 10 minute walk (four tenths of a mile) from sailing, Brax Restaurant, School House Ice Cream, Village antique, gift, specialty, and artisan shops/Galleries, Harwich Port Library, Church Thrift Shop.

The is located about a half mile from the house in the Municipal Parking Area (diagonally across from the Hot Stove) on Main St,  Route 28, Harwich Port.  Staff can answer your questions and offer additional information about events, activities, special places of interest, Beach Maps, Bike Trail Maps, Schedule of events, Town Maps etc. (Public rest rooms are also available.) 

Also 1 mile North on Bank St to Brooks Harwich Town Library on Main St Route 39 or the "Central Cafe" Coffee House on Parallel St across from Library Parking Lot

Or the COD (Harwich Town Offices Entrance). This bike trail meanders on a former railroad path for 40 miles from Route 134 in the Town of Dennis, through Harwich, to Chatham, and through Brewster, Nickerson State Park, Orleans, and up through the in Eastham & Wellfleet.

tennis courts (no phone listed) are three back yards away walk off Freeman St. The Wychmere Harbor Beach and club Tennis at 792 Route 28 are also available less than a mile away on Route 28 in South Harwich. The best part of this place is the owner. He was VERY flexible, accommodating and generous around dates. He allowed us to stay for Labor Day weekend and would have allowed us to stay an extra night, although we did not choose to. The house was a classic older Cape house that has been well maintained although not updated, but the beds were excellent, the bedrooms were good sized the kitchen had everything we needed to cook many large meals and relatively new appliances. We chose this place because we were a group of 8 and there were 4 bedrooms. The one down side was that the table and eating area was very small, making it very difficult to all sit together to eat. It was also a bit of a hike to walk to the beach and there is no parking at the beach. The trade off was there was beautiful natural preserves right across the street with lovely hiking trails. I would definitely recommend this rental and plan to return.

We had 4 adults and 1 child staying in this home which was larger than we needed, and worked out great for us. The kitchen was adequately stocked with all necessary cooking needs. The front porch was great for relaxing in the evening and dinner. We walked to town and to the beach which wasn't far at all. We really enjoyed our time here!

we loved having so much space and the location. It was also great to have the washer/dryer and dishwasher. A few recommendations would be to get rid of the carpet in the 1st floor bedroom and to update 2nd floor bathroom.

My family and I just returned home from a week long stay at this property. It was clean and described perfectly. It was cozy and charming, with a great deal of space and CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!! I would highly recommend this property for you to rent. The owner is very friendly and easy to get along with.
