From the moment you enter the gates of our home, you will know you are in paradise.

Enjoy our 3-bedroom, 2-bath house located in the quaint town of Hauula HI.

Beautiful ocean views from the main living areas and master bedroom await you. providing a peaceful Hawaiian holiday, Right in front there is great snorkeling and tide pools, a few homes away is a great beach which you can walk to at low/mid tide .

Our oceanfront property is off the main highway, making our home free from road noise so many North Shore oceanfront homes experience. A large private grass lawn shaded by palm trees extends up to the seawall and provides an ideal location for barbecues, lawn games or just plain relaxing.

We are located in the quaint town of Hauula, on the Windward Coast of Oahu. Ho’oluana is a 35 mile scenic drive from the Honolulu Airport, Waikiki and Pearl Harbor. The North Shore offers snorkeling, swimming, diving, fishing, windsurfing and, of course, surfing. The Polynesian Cultural Center is two miles away, Kualao Ranch & Turtle Bay Resort ten miles away.

We had a Blast!

November 13, 2015

We stayed at this property the first week of November and it was exactly what we wanted. This house has a great view of the ocean as well as steps that go down to the water. The ocean in front of this property is not on a sandy beach but coral reef. If you like to snorkel it's a great spot. There's a great taco place within walking distance. Down the highway towards Waimea you'll find food trucks, Sharks Cove with is a great place to snorkel and a tasty gluten free bakery. Debbie was wonderful to work with!

Owner Supplied Testimonials

This is from s guest who stayed July 2015 and tried several times to post it but had a problem posting Deb

Thank you so much, Debbie, for making your comfortable, home-from-home, beachfront
house available to us. You have been a pleasure to work with and your house came fully up
to our expectations. For our first visit to Hawaii, Ho'oluana in Hauula was a perfect choice.
An hour from the airport, we were out of the city bustle of Honolulu and very close to the
many beautiful beaches of the North Shore. Our party of 2 Grandparents, daughter and sonin-
law and 2 teenage Grandkids were well accommodated in your spacious house with its
lanai. In fact, we seldom ate in the house as the lanai was so convenient, in the open air
with the gentle waves of the lagoon lapping the sea-wall at the bottom of the garden. The
accommodation was clean, tidy and spacious and the kitchen well-equipped, while a washer
and drier were available under cover close to the main entrance door. A range of very
usable beach gear was available in the hut and we really appreciated the water-shoes, as
the coral and lava rock formations in the shallow waters of the bays was pretty hard on unprotected
The Grandkids (and their parents!) had a surfing lesson then took off on rented boards to
their huge enjoyment. They also had fun snorkelling in the lagoon in front of the house and
at Shark's Cove and Turtle Bay further up the North Coast and at Haunama Bay in the south
of the island and Makata Beach on the west coast. The local shops and supermarket
provided well for our local needs and the menfolk managed a round of golf at Turtle Bay.
We left a lot still to be experienced! Thank you so much for a thoroughly memorable

We just returned home from a MOST WONDERFUL vacation in Hau'ula, Hi. It all started when we entered this beautiful home, with expansive ocean views. We couldn't take our eyes off the ocean all week. We woke early to enjoy the sunrise, ate lunch outdoors, and napped in the hammock - all while viewing that incredible ocean. One day we even watched three sea turtles out searching of their lunch. We never wanted to leave, but on a few days we adventured out and enjoyed body surfing and beach combing at several of the local beaches. The home was comfortable for all five of us - clean, well-kept and stocked with everything you could need. Plenty of coffee mugs and wine glasses, who could ask for more. Great location - private when you enter the gates, but convenient walking distance to market, drug store, and some local restaurants. It doesn't get much better than this!!!
Lovely home In A Lovely Town
Just returned from a great vacation spent at this lovely home. Kids loved fishing, snorkeling and swimming in the tide pools right behind the sea wall. Plenty of beach toys too!Kitchen was great for cooking and we did eat a few family meals outside in the backyard. The neighbors were equally friendly as well. As a matter of fact, we bough fresh sashimi from a neighbor up the street after walking back from the market. It was so good and fresh we walked back the same night and bought more. You can walk to a local market, drugstore, liquor store and pizza shop in 5 minutes. That was really nice. All the employees were friendly to us and made us feel at home.In a nutshell, if you're looking for a chill and relaxing spot with awesome views this is the place. You'll definitely experience true Hawaiian culture here. Not the fake plastic city stuff over in Waikiki. BTW the local 7-11s have the best spam-sushi rolls.
Wonderful Property-Not Fancy But Comfortable and Great for Family
Our stay was really wonderful. We pulled our chairs up to the sea wall and watched the sunrise with a lovely cup of coffee every morning. We snorkled right off the property steps at the waters edge and swam to the beach at the park down the road. The location is great, giving you equal access to all parts of the island but is does some require driving. The property is clean and the neighborhood is quiet and it was great to have a yard for our grandkids to run/crawl around, play frisbee, toss the baseball, etc.. (ages 5, 2 and 8 months). My husband loved laying in the hammock at sunset and reading and taking photos of the view to post on FB...
It's not fancy but it is comfortable, open and airy. The owners are very responsive and I've already recommended this house to several co-workers!!
A quiet North Shore home on the ocean
The owners were very easy to deal with. Our family of 8 stayed in 4 houses on 4 islands of Hawaii and the easiest rental to arrange was this one. We had our information early, the rental process was simple. I would recommend this house for its location, its views, for getting way from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu.
The house has a well equipped kitchen. It is clean and well maintained. It is in a private neighborhood off the main highway. We loved the backyard and watching the crabs by the stairs. I would suggest it is better suited for 6 people rather than 8 as the pullout sofa was not a great bed.We are snorkelers and the north beaches offered great place to see a large variety of fish. We would suggest that three tables beach is the best for snorkeling or diving. There are great shrimp trucks on the North Beach. Look up the one that Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive ins and dives recommends, they were the best.
Misty rain and Bright Sunshine
Two moms escaped their families and enjoyed absolute peace and beauty. I see there is a May special? We would be back in a heart beat! We enjoyed being part of the "country" side of the island. Even quieter than the official North Shore, yet equally beautiful. Since it was April, we enjoyed a light, misty rain until the sun came out and then returned to mist. It added to the experience. We never turned on a fan or a/c. The locals gave us an Aloha welcome. Absolutely felt at home. Very short drive to the Polynesian Culture Center, North Shore, Dole Pineapple plantation. We saw whales our first night! If you see the locals in the tide pools with their fishing sticks, they're looking for squid for their luau. I was happy to see a good mix of tropical fish in the tide pools right behind the house. Just a short walk to the almost private beach. I love being spoiled. Mountains behind the house were stunning as well. Thanks Deb!
We'll let me start by saying "amazing"!! Deb, this house is just what the doctor ordered. The rooms were very clean. directions were prefect to the house. Deb is a phone call away if needed .If you want to live like a local away from the tourist trap of Waikiki this home is the place .The people are friendly, the beaches are not crowded, the sound of the ocean at your bedroom door every night is unreal. There was five in our party we ate at home almost every night Food Land is right up the street. This might sound crazy but I loved taking out the Garbage can to the street for pick up it made me feel like a local .... Deb remind everyone who wants to stay here "what year is it?" .....there it is . Your friend for life. I would stay here again in a heart beat.! P.s : Pape ole's is down the street and is REALLY good.
