Total winner!
My friend and I spent a week at Splash cottage in April. It is in a quiet neighborhood, and the ocean is your backyard. It was a short drive or walk to any places we wanted to see but was out of the madness of Honolulu and Waikiki. The owner is one of the most gracious hostesses I have encountered, and went out of her way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We also had fun with the cat! We would love to come back for another stay.

Relaxation, with the ocean in your own backyard
This rental is in a safe, quiet neighborhood with a low key, laid back Hawaiian lifestyle. Enjoy having the ocean in your back (or front!) yard - fishing, relaxing, watching the honu, listening to the waves - and enjoying what Hawaii has to offer. Clean, friendly, five stars all the way around. Very beautiful beach and I don't think you can get much closer to the ocean than this. I look forward to our next visit! Oh yea - the cat is very sweet and loved and well fed. Good people and good vibes all around with this rental. Hence all of the five star reviews. Get away from it all and check out Hau'ula!

A fabulous find...and we would know...we own a vacation rental !
We had to be on Oahu for business but our home was rented.

The house was adorable, immaculate, and very comfortable. We spent all of our time (when we were not in meetings) on the deck.... coffee in AM....late lunches....lounging with a book .... and of course evening cocktails. Besides being one of the prettiest views on this coastline, we were treated to turtle watching and we had a rare monk seal visit.

We slept like babies, nodding off each night to the sound of the ocean. The next time we are on Oahu, if our home is rented, there is no doubt where we will stay. In fact, we will making a few improvement at our beach house based on our Splash experience! Thanks so much and kiss that cute Skip the cat for us. Warmest Aloha Tom and Maddie

I stayed again in the lovely bungalow in February and I loved every minut of my stay.
The cottage was clean there was everything I needed and the interiour was lovely.
Lots of everything in the kitchen.
Even snorklingear and buggybords are provided.
The owners - Darcelle and Mike are the nicest persons you can think of.
Welcommed me and gave me all the help I needed. Darcelle often stopped by to see if I was ok and asked me if I needed anything. Thank you for your kindness...
When I was at home I spend most of my time under the palmtree on the terrasse overlooking the ocean and the green mountains and the turtles - i could sit there in the sunshine for hours. Even in the evenings I was on the terrasse - there are no bugs op there so you can stay out 24 hours a day.
Skib, the housecat came by for a chat several times every day. He is the cutest and sweetest cat you can ever think of - and my best friend in Hawaii. I love him
I didnt have a car but used The Bus when I wanted to anywhere - no problem at all.
All in all my stay in Hauula is the best - I just love it.
And next year you will find me on the terrasse hugging Skib. I cannot wait.
Mahalo for everything Darcelle and Mike.

Love this place! This was my families second visit. You couldn't be any closer to the water without fins! It's a very unique location. If bars and night life is what you're looking for this is the wrong place. If you're looking for a quiet retreat from the hustle of Waikiki, you'll enjoy this. Instead of shopping and strip malls, a magnificent view from the deck watching the sun or moon rise, waiting for the stars to come out. The location on a rocky point and small beach makes for a very private stay with the classic, crescent shape, sandy beach a short walk away. While it may not be luxurious, it's a very comfortable, ocean front, beach house. The owners are very close by and were very proactive in insuring we were comfortable. We'll be back.
