Description from owner

Traditional Northern Wisconsin lake home, originally built in the 1940's, with gorgeous view of pristine 40 acre lake nestled in the heart of Wisconsin's northwoods. We are located approximately 8 miles south of Minocqua and 2 miles from the BearSkin bike/snowmobile trail in Hazelhurst. The lake house sits on a slight hill overlooking beautiful Silver Lake, which is a no-wake lake. The property is nicely wooded and the house is surrounded with tall pine trees. You will enjoy many opportunities to enjoy nature at MY T Pine Acres. Deer are frequently seen passing through our property. You will also see a variety of summer songbirds; ducks swimming on the lake, eagles flying over head and loons swimming by and that will call late into the evening. The lake has a clear sand bottom swim area and a natural sand/grass beach. Take advantage of the sunshine on our large wooden raft. Enjoy the sparkling clear water sitting on one of two piers available for use or get a great tan relaxing on the sun deck. If you love to fish this rental includes a rowboat. There is also an old-fashioned paddleboat and a canoe available to use. Silver lake is plentiful in bass, pan fish and perch. Because this is a no-wake lake, you will not hear any loud motorized watercraft, which makes the lake very peaceful. This house has two nice size bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and is connected to a knotty pine sun porch. The master bedroom also includes a TV with remote. The sun porch is decorated with rattan furniture and has a ceiling fan/light. It also has a twin size bed. The sun porch is surrounded by windows so you have a nice view of the lake. The second bedroom has a full size bed. There is one full bathroom with a shower over the tub as well as plenty of cabinet space for toiletries. The large eat-in kitchen has hand crafted knotty pine cabinets and the kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, plates, utensils, dish cloths, coffee maker, microwave and toaster. The kitchen has a ceiling fan/light over the kitchen table. The large living room is a place you can sit back, relax, read a book, watch TV or a movie on the DVD player. The living room is tastefully decorated and surrounded by windows that give you a great view of Silver Lake. The living room has a full size sofa, recliner and rocking chair along with a TV. Outside there is a picnic table area and charcoal grill if you choose to BBQ. There is also a fire pit that overlooks the lake. The lake area and fire pit are a common shared area between this Lake House and another onsite rental property. Both piers, raft, sundeck, canoe and paddleboat are available for both rental properties to enjoy. If you are looking for a simple, clean, comfortable place to stay that is close to everything, for a reasonable rate, this is the place for you! Please inquire about bringing pets. MY T Pine Acres is licensed with a Tourist Rooming House permit in Oneida County Wisconsin and holds a Sellers Permit issued in the State of Wisconsin.

“Nice lil getaway”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2014

This was a nice rustic get away. I was in love with the kitchen which was a good thing because I cooked all week long (willingly!). The only reason we could not give five stars is because we could hardly get out on the pier as it was a bit underwater. Not sure if the water may have been higher than usual, but I do think the pier could use a lil maintenance. I only point this out because we were planning on doing a lot of dock fishing. Not a dealbreaker though. The dogs loved it, and overall, despite the Northwoods unpredictable weather, it was great to get away. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Owner's reply: Hi Corrissa, thanks for the great feedback. I'm glad you guys had a nice time and enjoyed the lake house. Sorry about the pier. My husband has actually raised it 3 times this season! The lake water has just kept rising due to all of the rain we've had in the northwoods. We will be adding some additional height to it next rental season. Please come back and see us again!

This was our first time staying at My T Pines and it was a amazing. The cabin was so comfortable and homey feeling. Enjoyed sitting on the dock and soaking up the sun as well as taking a swim. It was so quite and peaceful which is exactly what we were looking for. We cannot wait to come back again next year.

“College Friend Getaway”

We were very happy with our stay at My T Pine Acres. The lake house was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The lake was very pretty and very quiet, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The weather was great, so we enjoyed having our coffee out on the dock every morning, and had a nice bonfire one evening. We especially appreciated being able to bring our dog Bailey along with us. We are looking forward to staying at the Lake Cottage on the same property in August!

“Just what we were looking for!”

My T Pines was perfect for what we had in mind . . a rustic, up-north cabin in the woods. The house was very clean and decorated beautifully! We felt at home immediately. We also enjoyed reading about the history of the cabin. The kids had fun looking for deer, frogs and of course, going fishing! There were many fun things to do in town as well. This is definitely a place to go if you're looking to recapture some childhood memories and help create new memories for the kids!

We had a very nice time at this cottage. It was very clean when we arrived. We enjoyed a campfire almost every night (severe weather put a damper on the fun on one of the evenings). There are two lakes on the property that we enjoyed canoeing on. Owner has a rowboat and a paddleboat for you to use as well. While we were enjoying the campfire, we saw deer on the hiking trail. Also watched deer come to the lake closest to the cabin at dusk. It was very peaceful and serene. We enjoyed the activities in the area as well. We kept losing track of what day it was, but I guess that is a good thing when you're on vacation. Overall, we had a very nice week at this cabin.
