Description of the Healdsburg vacation home rental
Sunset Peak Abode is a wonderful house for family and friends to gather for Wine Country visits. It is a perfect location for wine tasting weekends or friends and families coming for weddings. Each of the three bedrooms have king beds in large rooms. The master bedroom has a twin bed in addition to the king bed. It also has a gas log fireplace and a view of the mountains to the east. Mornings enjoy the sunrise, lighting the master bedroom with cheery warmth. The master bathroom has a spa tub with a separate shower and two sinks. The other two bedrooms have their bathrooms a couple of steps into the hallway. Both these bathrooms have a tub/shower combination and granite counters. The front porch is a great spot for morning coffee or sipping wine to enjoy the sunset on the mountains in the evening. The entry, living room, dining room, kitchen and great room all flow together for easy conversations in many areas. There is one bedroom downstairs and two upstairs including the master bedroom. A comfortable queen sofa bed in the living room makes a private space for additional sleeping. The back yard includes a Hot Springs Spa and a Weber gas BBQ providing another area to gather and relax. The views in the back are of the wooded slope up the hill.

Area Information
In the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country there are activities for all. Biking the rural road of the area has become a special draw to avid cyclists. Several marathons are scheduled from spring to fall. The Sunset Peak Adobe is central to three of the best wine tasting areas; Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys. The town of Healdsburg is a short 10 minute drive to some of the most wonderful galleries, shops and restaurants. In the summer there are Tuesday night free concerts in the town plaza that draw some unique performers with a variety of musical styles from jazz and rock to country. The Pacific ocean is less than an hour away with several state and local parks to enjoy a day at the beach. The drive to the coast is scenic, winding among tall Redwood tree and sweeping vineyards. Many fun tasting rooms can be discovered along the route.

Great Geyserville Getaway

January 4, 2015

We were very satisfied with our 3 day stay at the Sunset Peak Abode home in Geyserville Ca. during Christmas. The home was as attractive in person as the photos showed it to be, clean, comfortable and a well set up kitchen and area for 7 adults/2 children to eat and sleep. The two toddlers with us had plenty of play room and directions provided made everything easy for clean up and in locating the home. We enjoyed hiking around Lake Sonoma (15 minutes away), driving to Bodega Bay & Gurneville (45 min.) and visiting Healdsburg (10 minutes) and there is a fantastic ariel view from the casino parking lot across the valley (15 minutes) and wineries all over. The elementary school playground two blocks away was also a perfect place to take the kids. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet retreat.

It is always my goal for guests to have a great stay in a comfortable and clean home away from home. It is great to hear that the house provided a great place for a family holiday visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What brings family and friends to the area?
A: The beauty of northern Sonoma Counties regions is the focus of the vineyards and wineries in the area. The little village of Geyserville where the house is located is charming, very small yet offers some fun shops, antiques and two really great restaurants. A couple of hundred wineries area located within a short drive. The town of Healdsburg is a 10 minute drive where many fine restaurants, shops and galleries are located around a shady town plaza. A fun place to explore.
Q: What makes Sunset Peak Abode special?
A: Location is perfect to explore Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River valleys. The house has several areas to enjoy socializing yet it is open so all groups can enjoy being together while having a sense of separateness. Some can be watching the TV in the great room area, while others can be visiting in the living room area and still others can be playing board games in the dining areas.
