“Clean and Neat with a Great Location!”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2016

Our family of 6 stayed at Four Seasons and enjoyed it. The house is exactly as advertised, clean and stocked with the essentials. The tub was clean and we enjoyed sitting on the deck in it on the cool evenings. Check in and out was simple. A great proximity to Helen (only about 4 miles) and just a couple of miles from Unicoi State Park which we visited everyday of our stay. The houses are not set too close together so there is a nice sense of privacy. It is not a giant, showy place. But it is clean, comfortable, exactly as described, and perfect for our budget. We would stay there again.

“Everything we needed”

Reviewed 31 May 2016

My husband and I along with our lab went to the cabin for a relaxing getaway. It was everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. They owner was very pleasant and easy to work with, she was very responsive. We even got to see a black bear walking on the dirt road at dusk. We will visit again.

“Perfect Holiday!”

Reviewed 7 Apr 2016

We stayed at Rustling Leaves, aka Rustic Hideaway, recently and couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. I planned a last minute Spring Break road trip because I decided the family needed a well deserved holiday. We moved over from England a few years ago, and we were missing our annual trips to Scotland's beautiful countryside. The drive from Florida to Helen is about 9 hours, not too bad if you plan it so you miss rush hour as you pass through Atlanta. When we arrived at the cabin we were very pleased. It is simply, but tastefully, decorated. Although there are other cabins dotted around the land, it feels very secluded and peaceful. There is an outdoor fire pit, which the kids had fun toasting marshmallows over, and lots of land for the kids to run around on. Inside, the cabin is nice and clean, there is a lovely fireplace and our daughter loved the hot tub (very clean) on the porch overlooking the property. Kate, the property manager, was always available to answer any questions, although we didn't have many. She sends out a very thorough packet, and in the cabin in the drawer of the coffee table there is another booklet filled with information about the cabin and the area. We loved the cabin and Helen. After a long day's exploring it was nice to come back and relax by the fireside, cooking a meal and watching a movie. There are many television stations, and you can also rent a film from the Redbox rental which is located outside the Dollar General just past the main stretch of Helen behind a put-put golf area. Helen is a great European-like village. We recommend the Nacoochee Village Tavern & Pizzeria (EXCELLENT), and right across the street you can get on-site milled oatmeal (cook at the cabin for breakfast) and delicious coffee for a very good price! We loved exploring the area for good trout fishing spots-didn't have much luck, but had fun trying! To conclude, we had an amazing time and really lucked out for such a last minute trip. We can't wait to return this summer!
