“Nice home away from home”
Enjoyed the privacy and location of the cottage. Wished the carport was assessable with the place. Could have stored stuff in there instead of in the house. But overall we had a good time , and would recommend this to a friend if looking for a place to stay while in Highland Co.
Owner's reply: Thanks for your response. You are more than welcome to use the garage during your next stay.
“Mid week getaway to the lake!”
We stayed here for a couple of nights last month. Nice little place right down from North Shore. Fantastic mattress in master bedroom! Nice and close to the lake for when you are going back and forth. Hope to stay again soon!
“Better than advertised!”
This place is awesome. . . even better than advertised! It's quiet, clean, comfortable, and just an overall great place to spend a vacation. The house is spacious, updated with all the needed amenities, and nicely appointed. It has a wonderful sun room with a ton of natural light . . great for reading, chatting or just enjoying the scenery. The lake is nearby and very accessible. It has something for everyone -- boating, canoeing, fishing, nature watching, etc. This is our second year in a row staying here and we love it! Owners are great too. I would highly recommend it for couples or families.
The owners were very friendly. We had acces to the boat dock during our stay, which was nice. We enjoyed our time at the Lake! Thank you!
Just what we needed.... A quiet ...peaceful...cozy...comfortable...and clean place we could go to relax... Enjoy and rest with our family. The children loved the walk to the lake....the open space to run at night and the peaceful location where it is located. We had a great time. Thank you!
“Happy happy happy!! Great Birthday Getaway!”
We enjoyed our stay for my hubby's birthday! Everything went very smoothly and was very relaxing. Everything we needed was there and clean. Homeowner came by and took hubby down to the dock and showed us where to dock the boat. They were friendly and very helpful. We are already planning on coming back for our next getaway!
My sisters and I had a nice quiet stay at the cabin and found it to be a very peaceful area, and the cabin was spacious enough for each of us to have our own bedrooms. Pretty farm country and not far from a few Amish stores - Yummy goodies!!! Thanks Laurie and Bart
My wife and I, along with our two children, spent three nights in this lovely cottage while visiting family in the area. The cottage had more than enough room for the four of us, and had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. We will definitely stay here on future visits and will recommend it to other family members when they make their own trips.
We stayed at this house for a girls weekend to celebrate my little sister getting married. We had a wonderful time! We found everything we needed at the house and everyone had a comfortable space to sleep. The back patio was awesome at night and so was the fire pit. We even held a corn hole tournament which was a blast! There are woods around which makes it feel pretty private. A few (minor) cons - the walk to the water was a little longer than we had thought and there was not really a place to swim. There was a dock with boats but no ladder on the dock for us to get back on and it felt a little dangerous with the boats coming in and out. However - we just drove over to the beach and still had a great time! We did also run out of toilet paper the second day and had to run to the store. I guess that's what happens when you have a house full of women! Overall, we had a great time. The owners were great and responded to all questions quickly :)
Owner's reply: Very happy to hear you and your girlfriends had a great time! There is another set of boat docks accessible from the property. These docks have a ladder attached as well. Sorry we failed to point this out. There is also an area nearby where you could enter the lake to swim or float on a raft. Again, we wish we would have pointed out each of these areas. Sincerely, Laurie
I was raised and went to school in Hillsboro, Ohio. I had a class reunion to attend and needed a place to stay. Being familiar with the Rocky Fork Lake area I knew about where this house was located. We enjoyed our stay and the house was very nice.
