Owner Supplied Testimonials

This was our 5th year staying at Miller Time, and as always it was enjoyable. The highlight of our week was an opportunity to enjoy a family of dolphin swimming around us as we sat on the floating dock. They were a delight to watch, and our children took many photos. We feel like this is our second home. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us again this year.

Another week in "paradise" was had by our family last August while staying at "Miller Time" again. This was our 3rd summer staying here, and our twin daughters beg to come back to this home each year. As usual, we fished and crabbed off the dock and enjoyed evening sunsets under the gazebo at the end of the dock. We look forward to our week scheduled in June 2011. Before discovering "Miller Time" we stayed ocean-front, but this home has so much more to offer our family with the dock off the porch--we especially enjoy the boats and even yachts riding by.

June 5, 2011
This was our fifth time spending a week at "Miller Time" and we just love every aspect of the home--the fact that if we want to cook there is every imaginable pot, pan, disk, spice, etc. to prepare what we want. Or, if we want to do absolutely nothing, there are many places to do this--whether on the hammock in the shade, or on the floating dock, or covered dock. We fished, ate the fish, watched the sun rise and then the sun go down--all from our back porch.

This is a compilation of extracted writings from our 2011 rental book. The home was full of repeat vacationers--and all said they looked forward to coming back. 1. Our daughters love getting on their jet ski off the floating dock, and we enjoyed the fact that we could easily watch them--knowing they were safe. What a great piece of property. Thanks for sharing. 2. We caught flounder in the evening right off your floating dock--it made it easy to do without even having a boat. It was enjoyed the next evening--and we decided to cook on the outside grill--which was delicious! 3. We spent most of our time on the beach and on the back porch, but one day drove to Myrtle Beach for the excitement. It was nice to have only a 45-minute drive, but to be away from all that traffic throughout the rest of our relaxing vacation.

Dear Miller Family, Thank you again for sharing your lovely home at Holden Beach. It is always nice to step in knowing we will have a clean, comfortable setting to enjoy our annual family vacation. We were lucky again this year to see not only dolphins playing in the intracoastal waterway late one afternoon, but we also saw a small Canadian cruise ship go by and then the next day we saw a dredge pushing/pulling?? (we were not sure) grain of some sort. Fun for the 4th year!

Date of Stay
October 6, 2012
This is our second October staying in your home at Holden Beach, and we are booked again for 2013. This is one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed at on the beach and we love sitting on the porch watching nature pass us by.

June 8, 2013 -- This is an extract from the previous company we had this home listed with:
We have spent many summer weeks at Holden Beach of the last 10 years, but this is a crown jewel of a location. We had never stayed on the Intracoastal Waterway before and our family had such fun. This house has a wonderful dock, floating dock, and yard for loads of fun. Our kids enjoyed the beach, the waterway--especially on the kayaks we rented--and the adults enjoyed the back porch overlooking the waterway watching the sun rise, the sun set, and the chairs were wonderful. Thanks Miller Time! We will be back again next year.

Thank you Miller's for sharing your beach dream--very comfortable house--just like home! This is probably our 10th year staying at Miller Time at Holden Beach, and we enjoy it every year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the most fun things to do at your vacation rental?
A: Awake to a beautiful sunrise over the waterway as you sip coffee or your favorite morning beverage in unbelievably comfortable glider/rockers. Then, about 10 hours later, sit on that same wonderful porch (or pier connected to the home) and enjoy a gorgeous sunset over the waterway as you sip your favorite afternoon beverage. Where on earth can you enjoy sunrises and sunsets from the same location?
Q: What makes your vacation rental special?
A: The unique location of this home makes it great for young families as well as older folks. With the island only being 1/2 mile wide, you have the wonderful waterway that the home sits next to where you can relax, fish, crab, or sun . . . and then the walk to the beach is only two blocks!
Q: What's the coolest nearby activity?
A: Holden Beach is a barrier island in North Carolina and when you are on the island it feels like a special world of its own--almost remote--but modern homes. However, 30 minutes north is the great town of Wilmington, 20 minutes north is a wonderful village of Southport--Home of the North Carolina Fourth of July Festival, and 35 minutes south is the busy tourist attraction of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
