This was a lovely property with gorgeous sunrises over the river. The apartment was spacious with very nice furnishings with a lovely small pool as well. There was also plenty of space for our two dogs which were graciously accommodated. All-in-all, a lovely place which we look forward to visiting again.
“Very pleasant and relaxed place to stay”
We have very much enjoyed our stay. We stayed here with 4 adults and had 2 more family members come over daily. There was enough space for all of us, expecially around the pool. The place is close enough to beach, shops, boardwalk etc (by car of course) and at the same time nice & quiet. We made day trips to several parks in the area. Cari (the owner) made sure we had all we needed and responded immediately when we had a request. She even advised on where to go (and where not to go) for our trips out to the Everglades, Miami and the Keys. All in all a very nice base for a holiday in the Daytona area.
“Great little hideaway”
This place was very accommodating for my wife and myself. We took our 23 foot walk around boat with us. The house was a good size for us, large living room kitchen conmbination. The bedrooms were a little small for us however, we both are 6'2" and 6'4" otherwise great accommodations. The pool was excellent, the view fantastic with the covered deck with a great breeze. The dock was a little inadequate for our size boat but we made it work just fine even with a Tropical Storm that blew through. The landlord Cari was super nice, and very responsive to any concerns we had. She was available to address any issues and was extremely easy to deal with on the property. I would highly recommend this property to rent. The location was prime to all attractions by land and sea. We will definitely be renting this propriety again in the future. Cari is the best!!
“May 2016 stay at magnolia manor guest house”
We had a great visit to the guest house at the former magnolia manor near Daytona. The guest house was comfortable and the private pool great. It was convenient to everything in the area and we fished off the dock in front of the house in the Halifax River and caught a number of fish. We made dinner there three evenings and the kitchen came in handy. The only thing I would suggest is maybe update the cooking equipment with some new pots and pans and utensils. The price for the guest house was very nice the three bedrooms came in handy for my wife and I and our two sons. I would definitely recommend to stay here and I would go back
“Nice winter getaway”
The location was very nice. We enjoyed having a pool and a hot tub on site. The apartment is comfortable, with quality furnishings. Our one minor complaint would be that it did not meat our cleanliness standards. It could have used a couple of good hours of thorough cleaning to remove dust that was visible everywhere. Other than that, we had a wonderful time.
Beautiful home in an excellent location directly across the street from the Halifax River. Cary (the owner) was friendly and courteous. The apartment was fine for my wife and I but 1 bathroom could present a problem for a larger family. The only minor complaint we had was the shower head doesn't create a spray and badly needs replacement.
This is really a beautiful property! The location is wonderful - you can sit on the balcony and watch the sun rise over the inter-coastal waterway. It's conveniently located near the historic street (Beach?) filled with little restaurants. The pool/hot tub area is very nice too (although we were too busy to use it). Did I mention the fantastic view?? The owner, Cari, is personable and helpful. All-in-all a GREAT stay!
“Home Away from Home”
This was our winter getaway with a beautiful river view and a quiet neighborhood with close proximity to everything. Spending winter here was all we could want; it was so good we've booked three months next year. The property owner is close by and will help with whatever you need. We loved the beautiful sunrises and the warmth of the Florida sun. Our dog, Sandy, felt right at home, too.
“Had the best time”
This place was so much better than imagined. We originally wanted something on the ocean but couldn't be happier that we choose this instead. The views were beautiful, the guesthouse was so spacious, it fit 4 adults and 2 kids comfortably. Cari was wonderful and didn't mind our questions. Would stay again if in the area.
My husband and I enjoyed the guest house. It was clean and decorated nicely.....a good value. It was nice being able to enjoy the area without being in the middle of the crowds.
