19 Day Vacaiton

February 3, 2015

On the positive side the location to the Boardwalk is perfect, the weather is usually good and my wife enjoys the pool and hot tub. Plenty of restaurants to eat at along the walk. Our room was really dated, a fresh coat of paint and the bathroom could really use a rehab. Everything was serviceable though. We would not stay here again because of the hollow walls, you can tell which station your neighbor is watching and since there was two of us we walked in and there were 2 hand towels, 2 wash cloths, and guessing 6 bath towels. I think for 19 days that is ridiculous. This does look out on the intercostal waterway, however the view out our window was palm trees and if you looked way off to the right you could see some water. Remember this is an older hotel. They have really made many improvements and they are trying. The residents told us a better vacation experience could be had by renting thru the hotel where you have room service and cleaning. I am not too picky so I could rent this again, but my wife would not so that is the reason for my first comment about not staying here.

wonderful holiday

September 10, 2014

We stayed in this unit in Hollywood last week (August 17, 2014) and we did enjoy it. We are returning quests. We liked everything, the room, the beach and of course Boardwalk. The room was clean, inviting and comfortable. It is very large room, the one of the biggest room in the hotel, with the great bay-type windows in the bedroom. The hotel is unique and full of history. The staff was nice to us, they know Kristina (the owner) and they were always ready to help. The beach , of course, was excellent and it is literally few steps away form the hotel. We loved to walk on the boardwalk in the evening. The hotel has now a wonderful cafe in the lobby. We enjoyed the pool and walks in the city. There are buses near by going everywhere, and you don't really need a car. if you want to visit Fort Lauderdale, take a water taxi. The waterways are few steps away from the hotel and the little port is located about 10 min away (walking distance). To make a story short, we liked everything the first time we were here, we enjoyed it this time and I am sure we will like it our next time. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the apartment. All we needed for the week. Apartment looks nicer than hotel itself. Great location. Elevators were not up to standard and one of three was working. Might go again I guess.
