Description of the Homer vacation home rental
Great View and the Most Amazing Vacation House Rental Value in Homer!!! This Alaskan vacation rental is a three story, 3,500 square foot home that overlooks Kachemak Bay and the lower Cook Inlet.

This spacious well appointed home allows you to kick back and BBQ on the deck (maybe our moose will wander by), watch cable TV or play pool in the family room, spread out in the BIG living room, have very separate roomy sleeping areas, gather in the large country kitchen and dining room for a fresh caught halibut meal and enjoy all the hospitality that Homer offers.

sadie cove, la caleta

July 31, 2012

this house is hosted by willie cardon and marcie gray, who take guests to the house in sadie cove, across kachemak bay 30 minutes from homer the boat ride is beautiful, otters, bald eagles, seals, sea birds the house sleeps at least eight it has an incredible view of the bay, calm waters, tides that changed for us up to 24 feet every 6 hours, at least 6 kayaks and equipment to cruise the bay in and go up to the end where there is a lagoon that is covered and uncovered by the tide. the house is a classic, large windows above and below of the cove, wood stove works great, nice kitchen, wood heated sauna, nice deck to watch the tide come and go, beautiful sailboat tied offshore to accentuate the beauty, a black bear across the bay seen on the beach, nearly every day, bald eagles, otters and occasional seal. recommend checking the tide tables to go when the tide change is greatest, so that you can sneak back into the lagoon and see even more wildlife. we went for 2 nights, and than i booked another night to take newly arrived family members to see it. the home has been built by owner willie cardon, and he is an arborist and woodworker by trade. great for people wanting to get away from it all, and those who would like to kayak on a perfectly calm ocean cove. there is a barbecue pit on the beach, outdoor toilet with an amazing view of the cove, electricity generated by falling water from the snowmelt, a separate living quarter for 2 as well. Recommend walking the beach at low tide for all the sea creatures, and clamming if you like. the above owners were friendly, helpful, and informative.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

What a wonderful home. Plenty of room to spread out & relax. Saw mamma & baby moose at the house every day! Did lots of halibut & salmon fishing. Seen Soldotna, Seldovia, Seward, little Russian towns at the end of the Bay & of course Homer. All the people are so friendly! Had a hard time getting use to all the daylight. Didn't know when to end the day. Played way to hard! Thank-you for all your hospitality!!!
What a wonderful vacation.
We will be back to see more of Alaska!
