This beautifully decorated, remodeled, spacious 650 sf corner unit on the 43rd floor, has the most fantastic views in Waikiki, from the living room and from the huge 9 X 12' covered lanai. This completely furnished apartment with queen bed in separate bedroom and queen sofa bed in living room, sleeps 4, has a full kitchen, Free in room wireless internet, free phone calls locally and long distance to US mainland and Canada. The owners take pride in this condo and are constantly upgrading. Just removed carpet and put in new wood flooring in living room and bedroom. This fantastic 1 Bedroom, will be a great place to call "home" for your Hawaii vacation. The contact person, Irene, lives in Island Colony and is there to meet you on arrival, answer any questions, and assist you during your stay.

Our location at 445 Seaside Avenue, in the heart of Waikiki, is convenient to Waikiki Beaches ( 5 - 6 minute walk), many restaurants, shopping, food stores, parks and entertainment. On the 6th floor you will find our new pool, spa, lounge chairs, cabanas, BBQ's, toilets and showers, sauna, laundry and a convenience store. The Bus stops 1 minute from our front door, at the corner of Seaside and Kuhio Avenue, and can take you anywhere on the Island. Sit back, enjoy the sights and let the bus driver do the driving. Weekly and monthly bus passes are available. Seniors get a great deal on rides with monthly passes which very inexpensive. Show your medicare card and ride for only $1.00. Otherwise, the rate is $2.50 for adults. ( check for current rates as they do change)

On the ground floor of Island Colony, we have an Enterprise car rental, if you should want to tour the Island on your own, or visit the many attractions outside of Waikiki such as Pearl Harbor, North Shore, Hanauma Bay, or Kailua Beach. Most everything in Waikiki is within walking distance so you really do not need a car for the entire time you are on vacation. Parking is expensive here, so we suggest you only rent a car for a day when desired, and return it before closing and avoid having to pay $30 per day for parking. Recently a new hardware store opened onsite, where you can find a huge selection of tools, paper products, and many other items you might need without having to rent a car and drive miles to downtown Honolulu. We now have a private parking spot nearby that we rent to our tenants for $10 per day, on first come, first serve basis.
If this unit is not available we have 2 other 1 BR's and several studios in the same building.
Area Information
Waikiki has many hotels all within a small area, but maps make it look like some hotels are a long way from the beach. In reality any hotel on the Ocean side of the Ala Wai Canal is only minutes to everything in Waikiki. Most people can walk to everything here. To check out the beaches further toward Diamond Head you can catch a bus that will stop in that area, as it may be too much walking for seniors. There are many free attractions and parks nearby to enjoy. All the Waikiki beaches are free, although some hotel pools are only available to hotel guests.

Ala Moana Shopping Center is a short 6-7 minute ride on the bus, where you will find on of the largest shopping centers in the country, with restaurants, well known shops, food stores and entertainment. Pick up the free booklets in the Island Colony lobby, with lots of helpful information as well as discount coupons for savings on rides to airport, and many attractions.

This was our third stay in this condo and our fifth stay with Gerry at the Island Colony. Once again, everything was excellent. The condo is conveniently located a short walk from Waikiki. The unit is very clean and well furnished. The Island Colony has an excellent laundromat and convenience store. Most importantly, the service provided by Gerry and Irene was outstanding - everything went as planned. We highly recommend this condo - you won't be disappointed!

Choice Location in Wikiki

This is our third stay at this Unit at Island Colony and we thoroughly enjoyed it again. It is very clean and well furnished condo. On our floor, we have always find it quiet and the people are very respectful of others. We really enjoy the view, from the lanai we have the Ala Wai Canal and the Mountain view and from the window in the dinning area, we see the surfers at Waikiki Beach. Island Colony is within 5 minutes walk to the beach and well centered for all activities Waikiki has to offer. A new feature this time we very much enjoyed were the barbecue units that we used frequently. Gerry has always respondent in a quick and professional manner. Irene is there to greet you when you arrive. We will come back to Waikiki and the first contact will be Gerry for availability of this Unit at Island Colony.
